MAY (NZ)- Bumped on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
TOUTE SWEET- Bumped on jumping and was momentarily crowded. Stewards inquired into the reasons TOUTE SWEET Blundered and dislodged App C Krahnen near the 350m. After taking evidence from the riders involved and reviewing the patrol footage Stewards determined that leaving the 400m TOUTE SWEET and shifted out under pressure and bumped with KOOL BRUCE before shifting back in abruptly, clipping the heels of MAY, blundering and dislodging App Krahnen. Whilst Stewards noted a shift from the inside runners of MISS DE MEDICI and MAY, the outward shift from these runners leading into the incident had been negligible with the vast majority of that shift offering after TOUTE SWEET had already clipped the heels of MAY. Ultimately, Stewards were of the view that the cause of the incident had been TOUTE SWEET shifting back in abruptly after bumping with KOOL BRUCE and as such were unable to find any rider culpable or blameworthy and subsequently deemed the matter a racing incident. App Krahnen was stood down from her ride in Race 3 whilst undergoing assessment by QAS officers and ultimately being declared free of injury.
