RACE 1 KILLARNEY CO-OP CLASS B HCP 800M
FEYTALISTIC Slow to jump.
OH HAPPY DAYS. Slow to begin.
LUNA AZZURA Jumped outwards contacting another runner.
FROSTBITE Dipped at the start.
PIKARI STAR shifted out at the start then raced wide throughout without cover.
DANCE DUDE eased off heels at the 500m.
WHATEVER MISS raced greenly in the straight.
RACE 2 ANGUS WICKHAM MEMORIAL MAIDEN HCP 1200m
TRIPLE ALEX Spung the front gate open but did not leave the stalls.
BENNY BEAU YANG was slow into stride.
FOXY STAINT ducked out sharply after jumping away.
MADAME MARMALADE raced greenly in the early stages then shifted out to avoid heels at 800m.
HASHTAG YOLO hung in at the 150m.
RACE 3 SHIRL & SANDY’S BENCHMARK 60 HCP 1200M
SHOW A NOEE veered out on jumping away.
Approx 100m after the start MR GOOD LOOKING (Appr H Phillips) laid in contacting VICTORIA NILE causing her rider Appr N Nishro to momentarily become unbalanced. Appr Phillips was reprimanded by the Stewards for not making enough effort to correct her mount and straighten. MR GOOD LOOKING then over raced to the home turn.
HI HI hung out in the middle stages forcing another runner wider on the track.
TERETINA was taken wider by another runner in the middle stages.
RHAEGO raced wide without cover in the middle stages then ran very wide on the home turn.
ROSE OF THE WEST hung out on the home turn when the bit pulled through her mouth. The incident was bought to the attention of the trainer C Williamson.
MY BELOVED which performed poorly was sent for a Veterinary inspection which revealed that the mare had sustained ligament damage to the near foreleg and was lame. Trainer W Bannerot indicated that the mare would be retired immediately. MY BELOVED would require a veterinary Certificate of soundness if she races again.
RACE 4 KILLARNEY HOTEL/MOTEL BENCHMARK 65 HCP 1500M
BIG KEN THE CELT was slow into stride.
MISS WONDERFILLY was slowly away and raced greenly in the middle stages and weakened badly down the running. Trainer K Kemp was contacted concerning the poor run and will advise stewards of any abnormalities in the mare.
RACE 5 VERONICA’S ON WILLOW /SMITHS FARMS THE FALLS OPEN HCP 1100M
BEYOND INFINITY dwelt at the start and lost ground.
CAPTAIN CLAYTON shifted in leaving the starting gates.
PERFECT GLORY bumped by another runner when jumping outwards at the start.
ROBERT’ S COMMAND bumped by another runner at the start.
FORETOKEN slowly away then raced wide without cover from the 800m. Trainer T Dougall could offer no explanation for the performance of FORETOKEN which raced below market expectations. Mr McDougall said that he would advise of any abnormalities with the gelding after it cools down.
