SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

After reviewing the patrol footage of Race 5 – The G.B.A. CONSULTING ENGINEERING BEDOURIE CUP OPEN Handicap - 1600 METRES at Bedourie Amateur Race Club on Saturday, 12 September 2026, Stewards inquired into the whip use of Jockey C Bryen the rider of SHISUTA BO. Jockey Bryen pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he did excessively use his whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m and 17 times in total. Jockey Bryen's license to ride in races was suspended for 10 days commencing m/n 12/9/26 until m/n 22/9/26.


Race 1: CURLEY CATTLE TRANSPORT CLASS B HANDICAP 800 Metres

FLASHMASTER – Began awkwardly and as a result lost ground. Bumped shortly after jumping.

CAIRO QUEEN – Raced wide throughout the event.

INSTIGATE – Began awkwardly and shifted out shortly after jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

PERRIERES – Difficult to load. Began awkwardly and bumped FLASHMASTER shortly after jumping. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Trainer T Parry was advised that a warning would be placed against the mare for her pre-race manners.

LIVELY SPIRIT – Began awkwardly.


Race 2: WINTON ROADHOUSE CABINS & CARAVAN PARK MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres

BABE ROTH – Bumped on jumping.

I'LLTELLYOUAFTER – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the event.

SIMPLY SMASHING – Reared as the start was affected. Trainer M Pitman was advised that a warning would be placed against the mare for her barrier manners.

ZAMUNDA QUEEN – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

CINCHICATED – Began awkwardly and bumped BABE ROTH. Laid in under pressure over the final 100m of the event.

MISS ANCHOR – Slow to begin and shifted out shortly after jumping. Jockey R Faehr reported that the filly raced greenly throughout the event.


Race 3: HBB ELECTRICAL QTIS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000 Metres

Correct weight was delayed allowing stewards to view the start of the race and determine whether any runners were disadvantaged or advantaged as the start was affected. After interviewing the starter, viewing the available replays, it was established that immediately prior to the start being affected HIGHGROUND bumped the front of its barrier which opened prior to all other barriers opening, resulting in that runner gaining an advantage. It was further established upon interview with riders that competed in the race, most had an awareness that HIGHGROUND’S barrier had opened early and they were of the view a false start would be called so they were reluctant to ride their mounts along in the early stages. As stewards were satisfied that HIGHGROUND was advantaged at the start and the majority of all other runners were disadvantaged by the initial responses from their respective riders, a no race was declared.


Race 4: CLARRY HERMANN MEMORIAL CLASS 2 PLATE 1200 Metres

ROYALIFY – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.

SUPERSTITIOUS – Began awkwardly. Brushed the rail on several occasions between the 600m and 500m.

TRAPEZE PLEASURE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

DANCING DOLLY (NZ) – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

LUCY LULU – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Trailed the field throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

PRIVATE SHOWTIME – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

CLIODHNA MAEVE (NZ) – Began very awkwardly and shifted in on jumping. Raced wide throughout the event.

MAYBE – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

MILK MAID – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.


Race 5: THE NORTH GREGORY HOTEL WINTON CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400 Metres

CALL OUT – Laid in under pressure over the final 100m of the event.

FINE SHOT – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

NORTHUMBRIA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout the event.

OCEAN EMPEROR – Raced wide throughout the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

ZOUHOPE – Slow to begin and slow into stride.

FLY FIFER – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Trailed the field throughout the event.

DARK HARMONY – Raced wide throughout the event.


Race 6: CORELLA CATTLE COMPANY RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP 1400 Metres

SUMMER SIZZLING – Slow to begin.

THE TYLER – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

THE WELLIAN – Slow to begin.

ALL VALOUR – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure over the final 100m of the event.

WOLF POINT – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
