GENERAL
MAN ONA MISSION, LETS TORQUE A DEEL, READY BETTY and SHIRINDI were examined by the veterinarian pre-race and cleared to race after competing within the previous seven days.
After an inspection of the 1000 metre chute prior to the first race the Stewards had concerns with a soft patch of track situated near the running rail at the 800m mark. Due to those concerns the two programmed 1000m races were run on the course proper.
