Race 1: HARDCORE SANDS QTIS Three-Years-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
Bornees Lad – Rider reported that his mount felt awkward in its action when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
Lasco – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Raced greenly throughout the event and ran off making the turn approaching the 800m.
 
Still Feeling It – Passing the 600m became awkwardly placed on the heels of BETTER THAN BAMS which was racing greenly. Hung out under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
Whoshotthemagician – Rider reported that his mount felt awkward in its action when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
Better Than Bams – Raced greenly throughout. Rider reported that he had difficulty steering his mount throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had lost a tooth during the event.
 
 
Race 2: ST PETER'S CAULFIED CUP SAT 16 OCT - 0 - 65 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Magic Trick – Slow to begin. Approaching the 200m had to be steadied and raced in restricted room for a number of strides between GOD OF MISCHIEF, who shifted out to improve before being corrected, and SIZZLEPEL, which laid in marginally. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Chill The Beer – Approaching the 800m shifted in and bumped GOD OF MISCHIEF, resulting in both runners being hampered. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
God Of Mischief – Overraced early and middle stages. Hampered passing the 800m.
 
The Graduate – Slow to begin. Approaching the 800m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of GOD OF MISCHIEF, which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey El’Issa, rider of GOD OF MISCHIEF, was reminded of his obligations to be clear when shifting ground in future.
 
Race 3: CANADIAN CLUB LAWN PARTY Maiden Handicap 1100 metres
 
Carlton – Trainer P. Fleming was advised that a warning would be placed on the record of the gelding in relation to its competitiveness.
 
Whistling Loren – Hampered on jumping away. When questioned regarding the performance of the Filly, Jockey B. Appo stated that in his opinion WHISTLING LOREN failed to handle the firm track and after being hampered on jumping away, settled further back then intended. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the off-foreleg. Trainer P Butterworth was advised that WHISTLING LOREN would require a veterinary clearance prior to accepting for a future race start.
 
Moonscape – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
Pierrotti – Trainer D. Whyte was advised that a warning would be placed on the record of the gelding in relation to its competitiveness.
 
Stormwater – Overraced in the early stages.
 
Elysian Queen – Jockey J Baker was fined $200 under the provisions of AR211(1) for returning to scale overweight.
 
Refutation – Overraced in the early stages.
 
Chatilly – Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
Mishani Patriot – Jumped away awkwardly. Overraced in the early stages.
 
 
Race 4: POMPANO SEAFOOD DELI BM60 Handicap 1200 metres
 
French Ocean – Hung out severely in the early stages of the event and ran off making the first turn. Jockey B. Appo stated that he was unable to steer his mount throughout the event and that in his opinion French Ocean may not have handled the firm track surface. Trainer P. Butterworth was advised that FRENCH OCEAN would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to accepting for a future race start.
 
Matador – Jockey T Chambers was fined $300 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on seven occasions prior to the 100m, two more then permitted. In determining penalty, stewards took into account that this was Jockey Chambers third breach of this rule in the past twelve months.
 
 
Race 5: TAB OPEN Handicap 1000 metres
 
Princess Rules – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
Boss Baby – Raced in restricted room on the heels of THE EGYPTIAN over the concluding stages.
 
Belzu – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Tru Blu Tango – Knuckled on jumping away.
 
Race 6: CHRISTMAS AT CALLAGHAN PARK Class 6 Plate 1400 metres
 
Hi Harry – Approaching the 500m had to be steadied after improving onto the heels of ARCHER’S TREASURE.
 
Cavellton – slow to begin.
 
Fanaar (NZ) – Jockey A. Sewell was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(5) for using his whip on fifteen occasions. In determining penalty stewards took into account this was Jockey Sewell’s second breach of this rule in the past twelve months.

Race 7: VEUVE CLICQUOT GARDEN PARTY BM55 Handicap 1400 metres
 
Moonshiner - Overraced in the early and middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey A. Butler stated that his mount failed settle throughout the event and as a result failed to finish off the event.
 
Geoffroy – Jockey J Baker was fined $300 under the provisions of AR211(1) for returning to scale overweight.
 
Poetic Pete – Jockey L Tilley was suspended for seven days under the provisions of AR211(1) for returning to scale in excess of 2kg overweight. Jockey Tilley’s licence to ride in races was suspended from midnight 23 September 2021 to midnight 30 September 2021.
 
Aussie Tycoon - Jockey B. Appo was fined $400 under the provisions of AR211(1) for returning to scale overweight.
