GENERAL
 
A number of riders at today’s meeting were directed to provide human urine samples for analysis.
 
 
RACE 1: JABIRU EVENTS CENTRE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE (1000 METRES)
 
HARBOUR CHILL – Raced wide in the early stages until obtaining a position in the lead near the 700m. When questioned regarding the improved performance, apprentice Nikki Olzard advised that HARBOUR CHILL had worked strongly in the lead-up to today’s event and had demonstrated improvement in two recent official barrier trials following a short spell. Apprentice Olzard added that, based on the gelding’s preparation, connections had expected a more forward showing.
 
MANOFTHELAND – Shifted outwards at the start, bumping with GRAPHIEN.
 
RED ROCKS BEACH – Began awkwardly. Jockey Rhiannon Rayne reported that her mount raced greenly throughout the event.
 
THE SOLICITOR – Commenced to race ungenerously in the early stages and whilst doing so was inclined to hang inwards, having to be steadied by its rider on a number of occasions.
 
GRAPHIEN – Shifted inwards at the start, bumping MANOFTHELAND, and as a result was slow to begin.
 
PENNYVILLE – Began awkwardly. Inclined to hang inwards passing the 800m and continued to do so for some distance thereafter. Inclined to lay inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.  
 
WHENHARRY METELSIE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide from a point near the 500m.
 
RATTLESNAKEWHISKEY – Raced wide in the early stages.
 

RACE 2: @ REAL ESTATE YEPPOON BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
 
SARAQAEL – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
DALT JAZ – Inclined to hang outwards rounding the turn near the 700m. Laid inwards when placed under pressure over the final 200m.
 
SERIAL OFFENDER – Began awkwardly. Laid outwards under pressure in the home straight and near the 150m, inconvenienced TENNER.
 
TENNER – Raced wide throughout. Near the 150m, was inconvenienced by SERIAL OFFENDER (apprentice Nikki Olzard) when that runner shifted outwards when insufficiently clear. Apprentice Nikki Olzard was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding.

 
RACE 3: JRT CIVIL RATINGS BAND 0-50 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
 
WHISKEY GLASSES – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride. Hung inwards rounding the home turn and had to be straightened by its rider upon entering the home straight. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.

BOTTOM BAR – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride.
 
MASALI RAFFA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages until obtaining a position outside the lead near the 800m. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight and had to be corrected by its rider on a number of occasions.
 
MISS ELOTAN – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards, bumping BELLE’S BOY. Near the 200m, had to be steadied and shifted outwards to avoid the heels of the tiring MISSION RIDGE.
 
BELLE’S BOY – Bumped at the start by MISS ELOTAN which shifted inwards. Near the 200m, was placed in restricted room for a number of strides between MISS ELOTAN and FLAWLESS AMBITION, which was laying inwards, when attempting a tight run between those two runners.
 
MISSION RIDGE – Raced wide in the early stages until obtaining a position in the lead near the 800m.
 
FLAWLESS ABMITION – Began awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight and briefly placed BELLE’S BOY in restricted room near the 200m.
 
 
RACE 4: TONY MCMAHON APPRECIATION CLASS 3 PLATE (1200 METRES)
 
THREE GONGS – Bumped by LADY CONSORT which shifted inwards soon after the start. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Apprentice Jacallen Dooley was reminded of her obligations to ensure she rides with sufficient vigour over the final stages.
 
LADY CONSORT – Shifted inwards soon after the start and bumped THREE GONGS. Raced wide in the early stages. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
FUTURE SOLDIER – Began awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
LLAMA CHARMER – Shifted outwards at the start and impeded READY TO RHYME. Raced wide throughout. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the early stages of the home straight and was eased by its rider over the concluding stages. Upon returning to scale, apprentice Shakira Bailey reported that soon after the start her saddle shifted forward, placing her at a disadvantage throughout the event. Apprentice Bailey added that after becoming aware of the saddle shift, she allowed LLAMA CHARMER to race comfortably whilst attempting to maintain stability in the saddle. Near the 200m, the saddle shifted further forward, at which point apprentice Bailey elected to ease the mare from the event. LLAMA CHARMER underwent a post-race veterinary examination, which revealed no abnormalities.
 
READY TO RHYME – Impeded by LLAMA CHARMER, which shifted outwards, and as a result was slow to begin.

 
RACE 5: LORRAINE HALL IN MEMORY BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
 
NITROGEN – Raced keenly in the early stages. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SOUND THE BUGLE – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
LITTLE FREDDY – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
MR GREY – Raced keenly in the early stages when being restrained by its rider.
