Slow to begin. Commenced to hang out from the 500m and was unable to be fully tested over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer W. Bannerot advised the horse would now be sent for a spell in light of today’s performance.

Commenced to weaken approaching the home turn and finished tailed off. Shortly after passing the winning post became awkward in its action in the off hind leg at which point jockey Geran dismounted and commenced leading the horse back towards the enclosure. The horse then progressively became more awkward and at a point near the 1850 collapsed and was pronounced dead by the veterinary surgeon when he arrived a short time later. Both trainer K.
