RQ statement on Thoroughbred Sales Races Series

Racing Queensland has received a number of enquiries relating to the Thoroughbred Sales Races Series.

Presently, RQ provides bonus prize money on several Saturday and mid-week metropolitan races through its Queensland Thoroughbred Incentive Scheme (QTIS), as well as lucrative provincial and non-TAB racing across the state.

QTISx also offers bonuses on all black-type and feature races across the state, with connections able to choose between the cash bonus or double its value as a voucher to be used towards the cost of eligible horses at selected sales.

The Thoroughbred Sales Races Series advertises prize money bonuses on specified races across the state over a three-year period for eligible horses, however, this is independent of RQ.

Trainers electing to participate in the Thoroughbred Sales Races Series should conduct their own due diligence independent of RQ if they are to take part.
