2 July 2025

RACE 1

JACCKA COOPER (1) was able to lead all the way last start at this track and trip after showing good early speed to hold the lead. He appears to find a similar race again where he looks the leader and should be able to control the race. If he can repeat last starts effort he should be hard to beat again.

ROCK HAMMER (8) was a dominant winner two starts ago when leading all the way in a similar field to the one he finds himself in here. Appears to have options early whether he chooses to go down to the pegs or follows through early.

KHULAN KID (7) should get a great run through in the early stages and appears to have drawn better than he has in some time. He can bounce back into form in this race.

BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (4) took on a similar field last start and couldn’t quite get into the placings there. He draws outside one of his key rivals in this race and appears to have a difficult task turning the tables after last start.

SELECTIONS: JACCKA COOPER (1), ROCK HAMMER (8), KHULAN KID (7), BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (4)

SUGGESTED BET: JACCKA COOPER (1) to win.

RACE 2

MISSTREPO (5) is in good form at the moment and can do the work in her races when she is in good form. She was a good second three starts ago when doing all the work before being nabbed late by Our Ultimate Jessy who came from off the speed to score. She draws wide but can push forward and shouldn’t be far away early.

TIGER TOMMY (8) was a deserving winner two starts ago having put together some strong form leading into that win. She looks to find a suitable race where there should be a genuine early tempo and she can be running on again late.

SPLASHNDASH (9) was able to work clear two starts ago at Marburg and won well there in solid time for the grade. He then got a long way back last start and hit the line nicely at this track. He is likely to get a good run into the race and can be thereabouts again.

TAYLORS FOUR (1) will need to be at her best in the early stages of this race to drive through and lead. She was crossed early last time before working into the breeze and battling on well for third there.

SELECTIONS: MISSTREPO (5), TIGER TOMMY (8), SPLASHNDASH (9), TAYLORS FOUR (1)

SUGGESTED BET: MISSTREPO (5) to win.

RACE 3

MAYWYNS ACE (1) has good early speed and should find himself in front in this race. Led four starts ago and set a very slow tempo there before being nabbed late by Madam West.

OCTOBER RACKETEER (6) has been racing well but draws poorly in this race in gate 6 which appears to set him a tough task in this race. He would need a solid early tempo to bring him into the race if he went back early.

ISLA AND ADDIE (9) was a solid third three starts ago behind The Harris Hawk. She can usually do the work in this type of grade and may be put into the race at some stage.

ROSARITO (7) follows through on the back of a gate speed horse. He was a solid third three starts ago when racing off the pegs which isn’t usually where he does his best work.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYNS ACE (1), OCTOBER RACKETEER (6), ISLA AND ADDIE (9), ROSARITO (7)

SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYNS ACE (1) to win.

RACE 4

COTE DAZUR (2) led two starts ago and was good in defeat when narrowly beaten by Xpress Party running a slick last half for the grade. He has good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead this race. He is likely to prove hard to catch if able to secure a run similar to the one he had two starts ago out in front.

CONGO LINE (5) was a strong winner two starts ago when running over the top of Xpress Party to score. He draws a wide gate in this race and will likely get back in the run but the small field does appear to suit him.

QUIK CHANGE (1) has been a runner up his last two outings including a good second last start when running on powerfully late behind Jaccka Cooper over the 2040 at this track. He draws favourably in this race and should secure a good run.

MYNAMESEVAN (7) was an eye catching effort two runs ago when hitting the line powerfully late. He then didn’t have the tempo to suit last time out and couldn’t get into the race. He has options being the only horse off the back row in this race and returns to the stable of Charlie Martin.

SELECTIONS: COTE DAZUR (2), CONGO LINE (5), QUIK CHANGE (1), MYNAMESEVAN (7)

SUGGESTED BET: COTE DAZUR (2) to win.

RACE 5

THE CASUAL GOOSE (1) isn’t blessed with brilliant gate speed which appears somewhat of a query starting in gate 1. She should get a good run regardless of what happens in the early stages and has been in good form including a solid second placing last start at this track.

ILLBEWATCHING (4) was a dominant winner four starts ago when sitting without cover and score well. He has since taken on stronger races including a second to Royal Winkle three starts ago in a race they rated good time for the grade.

JUKEBOX JET (7) starts inside the back row in this race in a race he is likely relying on plenty of luck with a query on whether the horse he is following can hold the lead or not early. Should The Casual Goose be able to hold he is likely to get every chance on the leaders back and will be dangerous late on his best efforts.

RIGHTYO (8) has placed in his last two starts and appears to be working back into some better form in recent times. Draws to do no work early and should be running on again.

SELECTIONS: THE CASUAL GOOSE (1), ILLBEWATCHING (4), JUKEBOX JET (7), RIGHTYO (8)

SUGGESTED BET: RIGHTYO (8) each way.

RACE 6

STUDLEIGH MARK (8) raced on the pegs last start and never got clear late in a race the winner swept down the outside to score. He appears well graded in this race and although he is a horse generally best when out in front he was a good second placing three starts ago when running on behind Pennie Packer at this track.

WEHAVTIME (1) has good gate speed and may be able to hold the lead in the early stages. He appeared to have every chance last start when sitting on the leaders back and wasn’t able to get into the placings late.

HOLME BOY (5) led last start and was taken on throughout when battling on for a good third there. His run prior he was able to lead and scored a solid win when holding off Taylors Four over the 2040. This doesn’t look any tougher but he may not be able to lead this time.

MISS SYRAH (3) had nothing go her way last start when launching mid race and was unable to get into the running line and was forced to cover a lot of ground as a result. She has very good tactical speed and shouldn’t be far away with the right run.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH MARK (8), WEHAVTIME (1), HOLME BOY (5), MISS SYRAH (3)

SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH MARK (8) to win.

RACE 7

MILLWOOD BROOKLYN (2) trialled smartly recently beating Jay Tee Tyron who has since won. Looks to draw inside her key rivals in this race and if she can hold that advantage early she is likely to prove very hard to beat. She has plenty of ability but can do a lot wrong and will need to be on her best behaiour here.

SHARP AS CAMM BE (5) ran well last start behind Firenstorm at this track over then 2040. She draws wider this time which appears to make things tougher. She seems to have good speed and that is likely to make her versatile in this type of grade.

SWIFTIE (9) scored her maiden victory last start when leading all of the way. She would likely need to life off that effort to figure in what looks a significantly stronger race but has seemingly drawn a suitable gate to do no work early.

CULLECT A STARR (6) led last start and was good enough to battle on for third there. Comes into this race having her second QLD start and may be better for that last start third.

SELECTIONS: MILLWOOD BROOKLYN (2), SHARP AS CAMM BE (5), SWIFTIE (9), CULLECT A STARR (6)

SUGGESTED BET: MILLWOOD BROOKYLN (2) to win.

RACE 8

ROLLONX (5) has been racing well. He ran on strongly two starts ago behind Arma Sportsgirl at Redcliffe in a solid mile rate for the grade. He has drawn wide in this race but there doesn’t look to be a lot of gate speed drawn underneath him so he is likely to have options early.

MELTON INSULTED (6) appears to be well graded in this race on some of her better form. She appears the class runner but has drawn widest and may get a long way back in the run if she elects to come back off the gate early.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (9) was an improver last start when running on strongly into fourth there. This race looks likely to generate a solid early tempo and that could allow her to be running on into it late.

SAMMYS SECRET (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row but does follow out a horse with reasonable gate speed in Downtown Manhattan. He can figure with luck.

SELECTIONS: ROLLONX (5), MELTON INSULTED (6), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (9), SAMMYS SECRET (7)

SUGGESTED BET: ROLLONX (5) to win.

RACE 9

IM ALBY (2) took on a similar level maiden last time out and was well beaten but didn’t have the best of luck when unable to get clear up the straight. He was able to place his start prior behind Mullum Aretha who rated fast time for a maiden. He has good gate speed and might be the leader in the race which would see him get every chance.

EYE SEE THESEASIDE (6) was scratched before her racetrack debut last week in which she looked set to go around a short-priced favourite having drawn favourably. This time she draws wide and looks to have been set a tough task to win her maiden. She showed good ability in a recent trial and should still be hard to beat.

LITTLE WHIPPET (5) was a good second placing three starts ago when running on late behind Opallane. This race appears a touch easier despite the wide draw.

MACK ATTACK (3) was on debut last start at this track and was able to run a solid second behind Swiftie. Should be better for that outing and won’t be far away from a suitable draw.

SELECTIONS: IM ALBY (2), EYE SEE THESEASIDE (6), LITTLE WHIPPET (5), MACK ATTACK (3)

SUGGESTED BET: IM ALBY (2) to win.
