FORM ANALYSIS: Redcliffe June 30

RACE 1 

VINCENT TIME (5) hasn’t had much luck in recent outings and appears to be dropping in grade for this race. He is a different horse when able to find the front and if he continues to push across he may be able to get there.

HARRY KANE (8) is having his first run for the stable of Nathan Rothwell. He looks well graded in this race and his best is certainly good enough to figure in this company. He appears to draw favourably on the back row to do no work early.

OYSTER STRIDE (3) has good early speed and draws low on the front row. He didn’t beat one home last start but was in a stronger race and it wasn’t a race anything made much ground in.

ONE LAST ROLL (9) was a winner four starts ago when sitting without cover at this track. He draws to do no work in the early stages of this race and should be running on late.

RACE 2 

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (7) secured a good run last start and was well beaten into eighth. Appears to find an easier race here and should get a really good run through in the early stages. She has previously run well off similar trips and should be hard to beat.

BEACH MAGIC (9) didn’t have much luck last start when caught wide in the early stages before being shuffled back in the race and running on late into fifth. This race looks considerably easier and he can secure a more economical trip in the early stages.

HEAVENS BABY (4) scored a dominant win two starts ago when sweeping over the top to score. Didn’t have much luck last start when unable to get across early before being shuffled back in the running line.

EBONY BELLE (1) has good gate speed and should be able to hold the lead early before having options. Can be in the finish if she is able to secure the right run.

SUGGESTED BET: BEACH MAGIC (9) to win.

RACE 3

DIEGO DELGADO (4) showed gate speed last start before being left without cover and over racing. He battled on strongly not to be beaten further than he was and lands in what looks to be a much weaker race. He should be hard to beat.

PINK CHAMPAGNE (8) was a fair effort last start when finishing fourth behind Uncle Craigo. She sat leaders back there and may need to do a bit more work in this race but it does look a significantly weaker race. 

HOIHO (2) has good gate speed and may be able to work his way to the front in this race. He has been in the money his last two starts with a close up second last start behind Geldof in what appeared to be a slow motion finish.

MISS HATTIE (1) draws favourably in this race. She tackled a stand start trial recently at Albion Park and was able to take that out over Beyonski although she wasn’t quite able to rate qualifying time.

RACE 4

PERFECT FEELING (5) led last start and rolled along there just getting tired over the kast 100 metres to run third behind Arma Sportsgirl. He draws wide in this race which appears to set him a significantly more difficult task this time around. 

MAGIC NITRO (4) has the draw advantage on a number of key rivals in this race following a good effort to run third last start. She is generally best when saved up for one run at them late but may be tempted to work across in what would be a race she could lead in.

MUCHO GUAPA (8) started from gate 1 last start and obtained a good run behind Perfect Feeling there. They did run along strong sectionals and she was probably entitled to tire late. This looks a race with a touch less depth.

LAZY BLAZE (7) has been improved in recent outings. He ran a solid third two runs ago after obtaining the right run in the race.

SUGGESTED BET: MAGIC NITRO (4) to win.

RACE 5

COULD IT BE ME (9) was a runner up three starts ago at Marburg behind Sunny Cove after sitting in the leaders back trail. She took on a much stronger race two starts ago behind Zac Daniels who rated very fast time for the grade.

WILLROBY (8) has been a long way off his best in recent outings but put in what was seemingly a slightly better run two starts ago to get into third in an effort that would see him very competitive in a race of this nature.

MOLLIDOR (2) took on a much stronger race at Marburg taken out in fast time by Tulhurst Smoocher. She may be able to work to the front in the early stages which would give her every chance from there.

LARA BAY (4) was a slight improver last start when running fifth. She draws wider in this race but lands in a weaker race which may negate the impact of the worse draw.

SUGGESTED BET: COULD IT BE ME (9) to win.

RACE 6 

THREE MACHS (1) has good gate speed giving her options in the early stages. She is generally a mare that goes much better when able to race on the pegs which she gets the opportunity to do in this race. Should be hard to beat however it plays out early.

YELLA (4) broke through for another win last start after sitting on the leaders back and sprinting too well to score late once presented into the clear. This race doesn’t appear to set up quite as well drawing a worse gate but he did rate good time there and can’t be ruled out.

SPORTING TRISTAR (3) led last start and seemingly over raced there when taken on for the lead early and through the middle stages. She was impressive her previous run and may be better again when driven with cover if she gets that opportunity in this race.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (2) has good gate speed and has seemingly returned to some of his better form in recent starts. Last start he took on a similar grade of race taken out by Tulhurst Smoocher at Marburg where he finished off well into third.

SUGGESTED BET: THREE MACHS (1) to win.

RACE 7

FRENCH BUBBLES (5) was an eye catching effort in a recent trial when sprinting nicely late to score. She has shown good ability previously and in what looks a very moderate maiden she goes in as one of the top chances.

TENGERRI (9) has rarely been out of the placings in recent starts but just hasn’t quite been able to break through for that maiden win. He is seemingly quite one paced so will need the speed on early for him to be running into the race late.

TAKEN BY SURPRISE (6) returns from a spell in this race following a solid trial effort behind French Bubbles. Her career record of just four placings from 25 starts doesn’t flatter her but she has shown ability at times and may not be far off a maiden victory if able to show her best.

GLENEAGLE HUNTER (1) started from a wide gate last start at Marburg and never got into the race there when well beaten. Could be an improver in this race with an improved gate.

RACE 8

PADDYS DIAMOND (4) had no luck last start when caught wide early before making a move wider on the track when the speed went into the race. Although he was beaten some margin into third his run certainly had plenty of merit to it and he looks hard to beat in this race.

FLY BURRA (5) led last start at Marburg and scored a dominant win racing clear late to score over Wee Bonnie. He has seemingly been a significant improver in recent outings and this race looks suitable.

TEQUILA EN ICE (1) has gate speed and four starts ago was able to lead all the way at this track. This race doesn’t look to have a great deal of depth and he has options in the early stages whether to lead or hand over given it is over the 2040 journey.

LUSTRE (2) broke maiden status three starts ago with an eye-catching win when sweeping over the top to score after working into the clear. Is likely to secure a good run in this race given the suitable draw.
