RACE 1

CANTPLZA MALTEEZA (7) led last start and was second to Mack Attack in a quick last half. He draws awkwardly inside the back row this time and will need luck in running but does follow a gate speed horse that’s likely to be in the market.

NITRATOR (8) did things wrong last start around the bends losing ground at crucial stages. He was impressive to be beaten only a length late despite doing a few things wrong and is likely to be better for that first outing at this track.

INSIDE MAGIC (6) did the work last start and was still right in the finish running third. That was just his second career start there and he is likely to be better for the outing. He may work forward in this race and should be thereabouts again.

TACTICAL ILLUSION (1) has good gate speed and might be able to hold the lead from the good gate. She was left without cover last start and wasn’t beaten far by Captain Kev which was good enough to be thereabouts in this race from the improved gate.

SELECTIONS: CANTPLZA MALTEEZA (7), NITRATOR (8), INSIDE MAGIC (6), TACTICAL ILLUSION (1)

SUGGESTED BET: NITRATOR (8) each way.

RACE 2

IDEAL BRONSKI (5) took on some of the country’s best 2YOs last start in the Paleface Adios and was well beaten into eight but was doing his best work through the line in a quick last half for the younger horses. He stands out as a clear top pick in this race despite it being his first go at Redcliffe. He should be very hard to beat.

TOUGH FIGHTER (7) came from a long way back in the run last start to finish third to Filly Thirteen at Albion Park. He has shown good ability and looks one of the better place hopes in this race.

TWILIGHT TANGO (8) was running on well for third last start behind Premier Paul. He had drawn wide there and draws much better this time on the back row and should land closer in the early stages.

MY ULTIMATE FELIX (9) broke through to win last start to record his first victory for new trainer Donny Smith. He was able to get up on speed there mid race and just proved too good. He will find this a lot tougher.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL BRONSKI (5), TOUGH FIGHTER (7), TWILIGHT TANGO (8), MY ULTIMATE FELIX (9)

SUGGESTED BET: TOUGH FIGHTER (7) to place.

RACE 3

DIAMOND DEANO (3) has early speed and might be able to find his favourite position in this race out in front. He led two starts ago and proved too good for Jilliby Panda and Fancy Like Barbie after getting the race on his terms in the early stages. He is likely to need that early breather again in this race but if it pans out that way he can be hard to beat again.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (7) was an impressive second two runs ago behind Jazzmin after making a wide run into the race. He draws awkwardly inside the back row in this race. If he can get clear at the right time he looks one of the top chances.

CONNIES SPIRIT (9) raced up on a solid speed last start in a slightly stronger race and just wasn’t quite able to hang on for a placing running fourth. She may be suited sitting a bit further off the speed in this race and should be running on late.

MATAI REACTOR (2) is rarely far away in his races. He isn’t a horse that is generally used off the gate so is well suited from this draw landing straight in the running line.

SELECTIONS: DIAMOND DEANO (3), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (7), CONNIES SPIRIT (9), MATAI REACTOR (2)

SUGGESTED BET: DIAMOND DEANO (3) to win.

RACE 4

OUR ULTIMATE STORMY (4) stepped back in grade last start and taking on a strong race at Albion Park two runs ago. She hit the line strongly last start and was seemingly doing her best work through the line. She draws the front row this time and might look to push forward at the start and should be hard to beat.

LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (7) starts from a good draw where he looks likely to be close enough in the early stages. He is a horse that seems to go better when not working in the early stages. He wasn’t beaten far in a similar level race last start at Albion Park.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1) is a gate speed horse and draws ideally in this race to have options in the early stages. She secured a good run last start off the speed and on the pegs and was able to work into the clear to score late.

DIEGO DELGADO (5) has bounced back to form in recent starts scoring back to back wins including last start when he ran on over the top to score in a solid race at this track. He is likely to get back in the run in this race and should be closing off again late.

SELECTIONS: OUR ULTIMATE STORMY (4), LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (7), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1), DIEGO DELGADO (5)

SUGGESTED BET: LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (7) each way.

RACE 5

BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (7) hasn’t had much luck in recent outings having been left to do the work in the breeze his last two starts not beaten far either time. He will need luck inside the back row and it doesn’t look an ideal draw for him given he is seemingly tougher than he is fast.

MISS SYRAH (2) ran an impressive second last start after sitting behind Jive Master. She gains a front row draw in this race and looks the likely early leader. If she can repeat last starts effort she is likely to be hard to beat.

PEEJAY MACK (1) has been racing well and should have options from the good gate. She was beaten just 25 metres in a 1.52 mile rate last start. She ran well at this trip at Albion Park two starts ago and should be thereabouts again.

DREAM MELODY (9) appears well graded in this race and should be suited doing no work from the draw. She ran on strongly last start after starting outside the front row in the early stages.

SELECTIONS: BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (7), MISS SYRAH (2), PEEJAY MACK (1), DREAM MELODY (9)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS SYRAH (2) to place.

RACE 6

HES SWEET (1) has the draw to lead this horse and that’s his favourite position out in front. He was a winner two starts ago when leading at this track. He then sat without cover last start and over raced badly there before giving ground.

THERESACHANCE (7) looks likely to get the ideal run through on the back of a gate speed horse that generally looks to hold the lead when he can. He has been racing well and was recently narrowly beaten by Hell Of A Hand at this track when running on well down the outside.

EPIC ERNIE (9) took on a much stronger race last start won by Darin who rated 1.51.8 for the mile rate. He draws more favourably in this race and steps right back in grade. Should be very hard to beat.

OUR ULTIMATE JESSY (4) took on the South East Oaks last start when starting from outside the back row and wasn’t beaten too far. She steps back in grade into this race and could figure with the right run.

SELECTIONS: HES SWEET (1), THERESACHANCE (7), EPIC ERNIE (9), OUR ULTIMATE JESSY (4)

SUGGESTED BET: EPIC ERNIE (9) to win.

RACE 7

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (3) has excellent gate speed which could see her find the fence first and have options from there. Over the 2040 she has the opportunity to find a horse to follow and has won and run well from that position numerous times.

ROCKNROLL TIMES (8) is very well graded in this race with the claim of Will Rothwell taking 5 points off. He isn’t seemingly ideally suited off the back row and over the 2040 but with the right run he could be running into the race late with even luck in running.

IDEAL DESIRE (1) hasn’t drawn gate 1 since December last year where she wasn’t beaten far in a 1.53 mile rate behind Ima Beach Babe. She doesn’t appear to be racing quite as well at the moment and was well beaten over this journey at Albion Park last start. She should find this easier and can secure a good run from the gate.

ENGLISH DANCE (7) has hit the line strongly his last two starts over the mile and draws ideally to do no work in the early stages of this race. He appears to be suited over the 2040 journey and with luck in running can win.

SELECTIONS: BETTYS GOLD CLASS (3), ROCKNROLL TIMES (8), IDEAL DESIRE (1), ENGLISH DANCE (7)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 8

MACS A DUDE (9) found the position leaders back two starts ago and was closing well late behind Wehavtime in a slick last half for the grade there. He has good speed and is appeared to draw favourably in this race doing no work in the early stages. He should be running on well late.

HOLME BOY (8) was a winner four starts ago and since hasn’t had a lot of luck in his races. He should get a decent run through at the start and if the tempo of the race suits he can be running into the finish late.

ROCKSNGEMS (1) sat leaders back two starts ago behind Sheez Got Torque and was closing strongly late to go down by about a length to Uncle Craigo. This race looks a touch easier and he draws favourably in gate 1.

MAJOR ARK (4) trialled nicely recently scoring at Albion Park in a 1.56 mile rate. He should be suited in this company and if he can secure a good run he should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MACS A DUDE (9), HOLME BOY (8), ROCKSNGEMS (1), MAJOR ARK (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MACS A DUDE (9) to win.
