RACE 1

PIZZA PRINCE (8) is a trotter that has shown good ability in the past and returns to racing in QLD having done his recent racing in Victoria. He has trialled quite well in preparation for his race track return in this race and should be hard to beat if he does everything right.

SAYDIE (7) returns to QLD having done her recent racing with Andy Gath in Victoria. She showed good ability in Victoria and appears well handicapped in this race. With a clean getaway she should be hard to beat.

SALLY EM (10) has done things wrong in recent starts but does have good ability and doing everything right she should be in the finish again. Her latest win came when facing a 40 metre handicap so the handicap in this race should pose no huge concern.

VOLTAIN (4) usually steps away well from the stand start and if she can find the front early she will have options. Wasn’t beaten far by stablemate Crookwell Eyes last start.

SELECTIONS: PIZZA PRINCE (8), SAYDIE (7), SALLY EM (10), VOLTAIN (4)

SUGGESTED BET: PIZZA PRINCE (8) to win.

RACE 2

BENJI HALL (10) faces the biggest handicap in this race but does look a standout on form. He was an impressive winner four starts ago when coming off a 20 metre handicap and has since had bigger handicaps in less suitable races. Looks hardest to beat.

MORE SURPRISES (9) came off a 50 metre handicap last start and when down narrowly to Crookwell Eyes who had the big handicap advantage in that race. Appears much better suited in this race given the more favourable handicap and should be hard to hold out.

MY RUMOUR HAS IT (7) is generally a mare that steps away quickly from the stand and if she does that in this race she can find the front and be hard to catch. Her win three starts ago when leading all the way is good enough to take out a race of this nature.

FLASH KYVALLEY (8) was an eye catching third two starts ago when running on late. A similar effort should see him running into the finish again if he is able to step away into a good position early.

SELECTIONS: BENJI HALL (10), MORE SURPRISES (9), MY RUMOUR HAS IT (7), FLASH KYVALLEY (8)

SUGGESTED BET: BENJI HALL (10) to win.

RACE 3

LUCKY LUDA (2) has seemingly had a number of chances to break through in races and just hasn’t quite been able to win. She ran third in what was a good effort last start behind My Ultimate Zander who is seemingly quite a smart 2YO. This looks a very winnable race and she should be hard to beat.

ROCK YOUR SOCKS (4) ran much better last start when finishing fourth after being restrained into a position in the early stages. She looks likely to secure a good run just off the speed in this race and if it is run to suit she can be getting into it late.

OUR ULTIMATE BEATY (6) was able to run a solid fourth last start on debut when finishing behind Ruby Rhayne Bow. She should be better for that effort on debut and despite the wide draw goes into this race as one of the main chances.

STUNNING STRANGER (1) ran well on debut behind Gottago Barney in a race they rated solid time for a maiden. Should be better for the outing there and looks likely to secure a good run in this race.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY LUDA (2), ROCK YOUR SOCKS (4), OUR ULTIMATE BEATY (6), STUNNING STRANGER (1)

SUGGESTED BET: LUCKY LUDA (2) to win.

RACE 4

HE AINT FAKIN (4) put in a huge run last start when caught wide before being forced back to the rear and still running on well late. He draws to advantage over his main rivals in this race and should be hardest to beat.

ROYAL SPEECH (5) ran a good second two starts ago behind Kuzma. He then took on a heat of the young drivers series and finished midfield there after doing a lot of work in a race they rated fast time.

LAST TIME JOE (7) was a recent winner at this track and trip in a similar field after coming from off the speed. Given the wide draw he faces in this race he likely needs to do something similar.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6) was able to finish close up last start in a fast mile rate behind Attachment and alongside Major Hot who was able to win impressively on Saturday. He draws wide this time and may get back and be running on late.

SELECTIONS: HE AINT FAKIN (4), ROYAL SPEECH (5), LAST TIME JOE (7), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6)

SUGGESTED BET: HE AINT FAKIN (4) to win.

RACE 5

BETTORS MOON (10) did plenty of work last start and battled away for second behind Jimmy Bling. She has shown previously she is a mare that is capable of doing work in her races and should be thereabouts again in what looks a suitable race.

MAN OF ACTION (9) draws the back row in this race which doesn’t look ideal given his good gate speed. He does look well placed in this company and has been racing well enough if the race is run to suit to figure in the finish.

SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (1) has good gate speed and likely dictates in the early stages. She has had a few weeks between runs which looks a query in this race.

IM LORD TOMMY (4) was a winner two starts ago when leading all the way over 2138 at this track. He then did a lot of work last start and was well beaten when running seventh.

SELECTIONS: BETTORS MOON (10), MAN OF ACTION (9), SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (1), IM LORD TOMMY (4)

SUGGESTED BET: BETTORS MOON (10) to win.

RACE 6

ARNOLD STREET (7) had excellent gate speed and looks ideally suited with a front row draw. He got back in the run last start and wasn’t able to make up the ground on the winner in what was a quick last half for the grade. If he is able to lead he would become the horse to beat.

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (9) ran a good second last start behind Bubba Nay at Redcliffe. He draws to do no work in the early stage of this race and if there is good early tempo he should be hard to hold out late coming into this race third up from a spell.

IMANI (6) ran a good second two starts ago when running on late behind La Miki at this track over the 2138. She then worked hard last start and that may not be how she is best suited.

KEAYANG MOSCATO (10) scored an impressive when last start in good time at Redcliffe when running on the top late. Will be looking to do the same again from the back row draw in this race.

SELECTIONS: ARNOLD STREET (7), MY ULTIMATE MARIO (9), IMANI (6), KEAYANG MOSCATO (10)

SUGGESTED BET: ARNOLD STREET (7) to win.

RACE 7

NILA MAREE (2) worked to the lead last start and scored comfortably over Sitting On Eight. She was able to zip across to the lead four starts ago and led all the way there. She may look to do similar again in this race from the good draw.

LA MIKI (9) did some early work before securing a good run last start and powered over the top late to score. She draws favourably in this race and should be able to find a position early without doing too much work. Should be in the finish again.

HARPERVILLE (1) was hitting the line strongly two starts ago when short of clear room at a crucial stage at this track. She was then forced to work hard last time out when sitting without cover. She looks likely to secure a good run in this race and can be in the finish as a result.

CREDULOUS (8) has been a big improver in recent starts running on well late. Two starts ago he ran well behind smart filly Ruby Rules and is likely to secure a similarly economical trip in this race on the pegs.

SELECTIONS: NILA MAREE (2), LA MIKI (9), HARPERVILLE (1), CREDULOUS (8)

SUGGESTED BET: HARPERVILLE (1) to place.

RACE 8

STRIKEM (4) was forced to do the work outside the leader on a hot tempo last start in a race they rated fast time won by Cosmic Flyer. He was very impressive last start and may find the front this time and if he does he will be hard to catch.

SWEET MIA (8) found things too tough last start at Redcliffe when sitting outside leader and winner Cote Dazur and giving ground late after doing it tough. She steps back to Albion Park and should be able to secure a more economical run in the early stages of this race.

MY ROCKY ROMANCE (3) returns from a spell and gains a good front line draw. He is a horse with very good gate speed and if he was able to zip over early he would have options from there. He trialled fairly in a recent stand start trial at Redcliffe.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (9) loomed into the race strongly last start before being run down by stablemate Blackjack Bart. He may be better for that run and does draw to do no work early in this race.

SELECTIONS: STRIKEM (4), SWEET MIA (8), MY ROCKY ROMANCE (3), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (9)

SUGGESTED BET: MY ROCKY ROMANCE (3) to place.

RACE 9

FERNCO NEL (1) is yet to put a food wrong so far in QLD having scored two wins and a second from three starts in the state. In his last start effort he was able to power over the top late to score beating My Ultimate Franco at this track. He appears a horse that has good gate speed and may be able to lead in this race which makes him very hard to beat.

JENSVILLE (3) didn’t have a great deal of luck last start when badly held up at a crucial stage before flashing through for third behind I Got Chills and Botticelli who rated fast time for the grade. She appears to have drawn awkwardly again outside one of her key rivals.

FINAL DEADLINE (9) was impressive on debut in QLD when running second to Hesitate. He then appeared to gain a favourably trip in the Derby and was seemingly a touch disappointing there running fifth given his impressive first up run. He has since trialled fairly and can run well in this company.

ROYAL GAMBLE (8) has poor numerical form but is seemingly racing a lot better than that numerical form would suggest. He was left without cover last start in a race they rated fast time of 1.53.6 for the 2138 at this track.

SELECTIONS: FERNCO NEL (1), JENSVILLE (3), FINAL DEADLINE (9), ROYAL GAMBLE (8)

SUGGESTED BET: FERNCO NEL (1) to win.
