RACE 1

MAJOR HOT (3) was able to run to the lead last start and was just run down by stablemate Attachment who had the good run on his back. This looks another race he might be able to work cross to the lead and should prove hard to beat in this position. He ran well recently when left without cover over the 2138 in a race won by Lux Aeterna.

BEACHRIDE (1) has good early speed and used that two starts ago before handing over to Its Electrifying and running him down over the 1660. He steps up to the 2138 which is a trip he probably didn’t run out brilliantly in front when beaten by Amami four starts ago which may see him take the trail in this race.

ROCKET CITY (10) was buried away on the pegs last start and wasn’t able to make up much ground. He steps up to the 2138 in this race and has another back row draw which appears to make things tricky for him. If the race is run to suit he can be getting into it late.

AMAMI (8) is starting inside the back row a position he was able to win from a few starts ago at this track and trip in fast time. He appears likely to secure an ideal trip in this race following out a gate speed horse early.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR HOT (3), BEACHRIDE (1), ROCKET CITY (10), AMAMI (8)

SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR HOT (3) to win.

RACE 2

ITS ELECTRIFYING (3) has great gate speed and looks likely to find the front again in this race. He sat leaders back last start behind Vinsanity and just wasn’t quite able to run down Darin who has been in terrific form. He should be hard to beat.

CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (1) has been racing without much luck at all in recent starts. He appeared to run into dead ends again last start behind Darin and this time should secure a good trip and have every chance to run them down if good enough.

CALL TO ORDER (5) was the winner of The Hayden when getting a good run through up the inside to finish alongside Attachment before taking the race on protest. He draws wider in this race and may get well back in the race. Could be dangerous if the race is run to suit.

IN EXCESS (4) led over the mile two starts ago and proved too strong late scoring over Last Time Joe who has since won. He appears to have drawn awkwardly but can figure with the right run.

SELECTIONS: ITS ELECTRIFYING (3), CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (1), CALL TO ORDER (5), IN EXCESS (4)

SUGGESTED BET: ITS ELECTRIFYING (3) to win.

RACE 3

REGAZZO DI TILLY (1) couldn’t quite cross last start but was able to drop onto the back of Royal Cruiser in that race before running him down late. He showed enough gate speed there to suggest he is unlikely to be crossed in this race and if that’s the case he becomes the horse to beat.

SURE THING CAPTAIN (5) made the next step in Grand Circuit company through the Inter Dominion series before potentially finding the 3100 a bit too far in the grand final. He steps back to the mile in this race and despite the wide draw looks one of the hardest to beat.

ROYAL CRUISER (8) put in a clear career best effort last start when leading all the way in brilliant time over the 2138. He is very unlikely to be leading again from the inside back row but should still secure a good run on the likely leaders back and be hard to hold out late.

OUR GOAT (2) found the front early last start and scored easily rating good time. He has options in this race with only one horse off the back row he could sneak onto the pegs which is a valuable position when they’re running fast times over the mile.

SELECTIONS: REGAZZO DI TILLY (1), SURE THING CAPTAIN (5), ROYAL CRUISER (8), OUR GOAT (2)

SUGGESTED BET: REGAZZO DI TILLY (1) to win.

RACE 4

LOVE GUN (7) gets a key handicap advantage on his main rival and stablemate Zealous Spur after beating him last start. He was impressive through the Inter Dominion series and should be hard to hold out again in this race.

ZEALOUS SPUR (8) couldn’t quite beat stablemate Love Gun but was still a really good effort last start. He went through the inter dominion series without having a great deal of luck. He will need to step well off the back mark.

IZARRA (2) seems to be a reasonably reliable beginner from the stand start and should be somewhere on speed in this race off the front mark. Her last two starts have been with the mobile start having made a break early last start she is likely to appreciate the step back to the stand start.

BERRIESANDCHERRIES (6) was left to do all the work last start in a strong field and just got tired late to run fourth. If she can secure a more economical trip she can run into the finish.

SELECTIONS: LOVE GUN (7), ZEALOUS SPUR (8), IZARRA (2), BERRIESANDCHERRIES (6)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 5

MISS IDAHO (3) has been extremely impressive since moving to QLD. She started in a recent trial at Albion Park and was very impressive there zipping home 26.8 and looking to do it fairly easily. Her win prior to the trial came in 1.51.7. She doesn’t appear to have very good gate speed which could see gate 3 become a tricky draw.

POST PAINTER (5) was forced to sit without cover last start and didn’t shirk the task there when battling away well for third behind Ruby Rules. She has drawn wide again but does step back to the mile where she might be better suited.

TICK A LOCH (10) was able to beat Coastal Babe two runs ago after finding the spot leaders back. She then ran well again last start after not having a great deal of luck when shuffled back on the pegs.

LUVARESCHS (2) has decent early speed and draws the best of the main chances in this race. If she was able to find the front she would prove hard to catch in this company.

SELECTIONS: MISS IDAHO (3), POST PAINTER (5), TICK A LOCH (10), LUVARESCHS (2)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS IDAHO (3) to win.

RACE 6

MAEBEE (3) returns from a spell in this race. His latest start he was forced to do all the work outside of Barry Limbo and battled on well for third. He may need to do the work again in this race but he is very well graded and clearly looks hardest to beat.

PRINCE OF PAIN (1) has early speed and might be able to do enough to lead. His most recent second placing came when leading over the 2138 and was just reeled in late by Our Sunset Delight.

BART BENTLEY (2) didn’t have much luck last start when held up on the inside behind Bigger The Bettor. He draws well in this race and should secure a good run however it plays out early in the running line or on the pegs.

EPIC ERNIE (9) has been racing in great form including a strong last start second behind Moth Hunter over the 2138. He steps back to the 1660 and should be hard to hold out again.

SELECTIONS: MAEBEE (3), PRINCE OF PAIN (1), BART BENTLEY (2), EPIC ERNIE (9)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 7

EVER ART (5) led last start and didn’t quite go to her absolute best when winning narrowly in a much easier race. She is a high quality mare and may be better rolling along out in front. She can look to hold the advantage on her key rivals and should be hard to beat again.

GOLDEN FIRE (3) is a high speed mare that didn’t have a great deal of luck when running on from a long way back in the Golden Girl. She was able to score a win last start when running over the top after securing a good run off the pace. She has good early speed and might be able to zip across before having options.

RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (7) is one of the class mares in the race and despite the widest draw looks one of the hardest to beat. She was able to run a great fourth in the Golden Girl behind superstar mare Eye Keep Smiling in an effort that’s definitely going to see her hard to beat in this race.

LUX AETERNA (6) was left without cover last start over the 1660 and got tired late. She was very good off a softer run in the Golden Girl and that may be how she is driven this time again.

SELECTIONS: EVER ART (5), GOLDEN FIRE (3), RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (7), LUX AETERNA (6)

SUGGESTED BET: GOLDEN FIRE (3) each way.

RACE 8

PLATINUM JEWEL (2) was impressive last start doing all the work at Redcliffe and battling away for second. This appears a race she might be able to find the lead and as a result should be hard to beat.

MAJORITA JUJON (9) was forced to sit without cover last start before being run down by a horse that hadn’t done any work in Sweet Addition. She should get a really good run through in this race and if she is forced to do the work she showed last start she can still be there at the finish.

MISS BAY KING COLE (8) should get an economical run in the early stages of this race following out a horse that does have fairly good gate speed. If the gaps appear she should be running into the race late.

A PERFECT DANCE (1) wasn’t beaten too far last start behind Sweet Addition after getting back and making up late ground. She draws 1 this time and should get a good run.

SELECTIONS: PLATINUM JEWEL (2), MAJORITA JUJON (9), MISS BAY KING COLE (8), A PERFECT DANCE (1)

SUGGESTED BET: PLATINUM JEWEL (2) to win.

RACE 9

CHEER LEADER (4) has been impressive in recent starts. She took on the Group 1 Golden Girl two starts ago and wasn’t beaten far by champion mare Eye Keep Smiling. She is better handicapped than her key rivals and looks hardest to beat as a result.

TIMS A TROOPER (5) wasn’t seemingly at his absolute best last start failing to run on in a race that was seemingly run to suit last start. He may appreciate the step back to the stand start and if he can step faster than a few of his main rivals should land in a good position.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (9) was making up late ground when not having a huge amount of luck last start. He has raced fairly from the stand starts in recent times and looks to land in a suitable race despite needing to come off a 20 metre handicap.

BELLISSIMO ACQUISTO (2) was a capable stand start horse in WA and may appreciate the step back to the stand. He has been well beaten in two race starts so far in QLD but has trialled well enough and should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: CHEER LEADER (4), TIMS A TROOPER (5), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (9), BELLISSIMO ACQUISTO (2)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 10

MADRIGAL (2) makes a significant step back in class into this race having been well beaten by Royal Cruiser in a very fast time last start over the 2138. She has previously won over the mile in a Band 5 and might be able to force to the pegs in this race before having options.

PUMPKIN PAT (4) has excellent gate speed and used that last start to zip across and lead before handing over to Ever Art. The winner of that race Ever Art takes on the mares FFA and is likely to be in the market while Pumpkin Pat contests another Band 5 and appears well graded.

REASON TO SHINE (3) didn’t have the best of luck two starts ago behind Ever Art when shuffled back on the pegs early. She then ran on powerfully last start into second Sweet Agenda.

SERGIOS ROCKET (5) was able to zip over and lead last start before handing over and scoring up the sprint lane. She is likely to get back from the wide gate in this race.

SELECTIONS: MADRIGAL (2), PUMPKIN PAT (4), REASON TO SHINE (3), SERGIOS ROCKET (5)

SUGGESTED BET: MADRIGAL (2) to win.
