Form Analysis: Redcliffe August 13

RACE 1 

SPLASHNDASH (1) has very good gate speed and showed that last start to hold the lead early. He ran well just being run down late not beaten far by Imxtraspecial. He looks to have options again in this race and should be hard to beat.

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (8) returns from a spell in this race and looks well placed. He has previously been able to win sitting without cover at this track and trip. He has speed and might be suited getting an economical run early.

SURPRISE LANDING (4) took on a much stronger race last start at Albion Park and was running on late after racing wide on the track. This looks a good step back in class. 

KERBANG (7) looks likely to get an ideal run through in the early stages of this race behind a gate speed horse. He has been racing well often forced to do the work in races and may appreciate getting a softer trip in behind them this time.

RACE 2 

MACS A DUDE (2) has good early speed and might’ve found another race where he can work to the front in the early stages. He was running on well late two starts ago behind Pocket Book. 

MADAM WEST (1) should secure the perfect run potentially leaders back in the race. She was hitting the line strongly late last start after getting back in the run. Should get every chance from the good draw.

ART OF ROCK (8) sat without cover last start and battled away strongly behind The Missing Sock. He has always seemingly been a horse best when not doing too much work in his races which adds further merit to his last start run. 

GREAT ACHIEVER (6) took on stronger fields last time in. He draws widest in this race and is first up from a spell without a trial which looks a significant query.

SUGGESTED BET: MACS A DUDE (2) to win.

RACE 3

MARVELLOUS MAC (1) showed good early speed last start to drive through and lead comfortably and was able to lead all the way scoring an easy win. He has previously rated good time over this distance when out in front. Should be hard to catch again in this race.

BETTERTHAN POPSY (5) ran second last start in a quick mile rate at this track behind Cote Dazur. He is likely suited by the step up to 2040 given his near outside front row draw and likely position back in the field. Can be running on late. 

STORYTELLER (6) took on a strong race last start over the mile at Albion Park where Our Goat rated fast time in winning. He has been improving gradually and dropping back in class in this race if it is run to suit, he can be getting into it late. 

SHADES OF HEAVEN (2) was well driven two starts ago to secure a good run and score at this track in good time. He is having his second start for the stable of Grant Dixon and is one that could be running into it late if able to secure the right run.

RACE 4 

MISS SYRAH (1) has very good early speed and should be able to drive through and lead in this race. She hit the line strongly last start to score in a similar type of race last start. She has led and run well over this journey previously and should be hard to beat in this race. 

ARTISTIC SAINT (7) worked hard last start early by a horse that went on to be well beaten in the race. He did well to battle away and finish as close as he did. He should get a good run through early in this race and has had success at this track and trip previously. 

RAINBOW TITAN (4) had no luck last start when badly held up at a crucial stage of the race. He bounced back to form impressively three starts ago when closing over the top to score a good win. 

MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC (6) was able to secure a good run in the race last start at this track and closed best to score. He was first up for a few months in that race and should be better for the run coming into this race second up.

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 5

SWIFTIE (8) has been taking on stronger races in recent outings in restricted win company. She took on a race taken out by Keayang Moscato last start in fast time for the grade. She looks likely to secure a good run off the speed and can be running into it late. 

OYSTER STRIDE (9) isn’t a horse that generally does his best work off back row draws but does look particularly well graded in this race. He was well beaten last start in what looked a stronger race taken out by Vintage Edition. 

HES REGAL (7) looks likely to secure a decent run through in the early stages on the back of a horse with good early speed. He was able to score recently when leading all the way at this track.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (3) has good early speed and has been racing well. He was able to lead all the way two starts ago and backed that up with another good run last start. Should be thereabouts again.

RACE 6 

THE REAL ROCKETMAN (5) was competitive last start when first up for a new stable having made the move to QLD. He worked over to the lead and was just run down late by Galvarino who was able to secure a good run in that race. He looks likely to be working at some stage given the wide draw but should be thereabouts. 

MAJOR TRALEE (7) was an impressive winner recently at Albion Park when able to control things out in front before zipping away and scoring. He draws awkwardly inside the back row this time and will likely need luck to get clear at some stage. 

MAYWYNS ACE (4) has early speed and the draw advantage over a number of his key rivals. He was driven quietly last start and was running on well late in a solid mile rate for the grade. 

DIEGO DELGADO (9) was a winner five starts ago this track when running over the top to score. Takes on a similar field to the one he was up against last start at this track and will need a few things in his favour to figure in this race.

RACE 7

ROSARITO (8) ran an eye catching second two starts ago after securing a good run in the race behind Shezamaterialgirl. This race looks a fraction tougher but he is likely to secure a good run from a draw he won’t be doing too much early work. 

KEAYANG TARA (3) was running into it late last start behind dominant winner Illbewatching over the 2040 at this track. She appears well graded again in this race and with the right run should be in the finish again.

SHEZAMATERIALGIRL (6) has been racing in great form in recent starts recording two wins in her past five starts. She draws outside the front row in this race but does have excellent gate speed and should be thereabouts however it pans out early. 

WANDARY DELIGHT (9) ran well two starts ago after doing the work she was able to battle away and finish third. She was then badly held up last start and couldn’t find clear running at a crucial stage.

SUGGESTED BET: KEAYANG TARA (3) to win.

RACE 8

MARKSMAN (2) has early speed and a favourable draw. He was much better last start when running third. Last time he was able to lead he ran a good race at this track and trip beaten about a length in a time that would see him very hard to beat in this race. 

THREENTWO (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row. She struggled to get into the clear last start from this same draw when attempting to go up the sprint lane. She may need the gaps to appear to allow her to come to the outside of horses.

GOTTA DREAM (4) ran well last start despite being taken on early over the 2040 journey. He doesn’t look as likely to lead this time drawn out wider and will need a few things to go his way to figure in this race.

FANCY LIKE BARBIE (3) ran on well last start behind Much Guapa after obtaining the ideal run on her back. Looks to have drawn awkwardly in this race given her lack of gate speed.

RACE 9

MY ULTIMATE FRANCO (6) wasn’t beaten far last start in fast time by Franco Nel at Albion Park. That looks clearly the standout form in this race and he is likely to go around a short priced favourite in this race despite drawing outside of the front row. 

MULLUM ARETHA (7) found the front last start and seemed to over race there setting a strong tempo and just getting a fraction tired late. Looks to have drawn awkwardly in this race inside the back row and will need luck at the right time to figure. 

FRANCS FOR COMING (3) has good early speed and may dictate the map in the early stages of the race. She trialled solidly recently at this track when not beaten too far. 

TWEEDY (5) made her QLD debut last start when running on well behind Keayang Moscato. Looks likely to get back again from the wide draw and can be running on late.
