Form Analysis: Redcliffe September 17

RACE 1 

HES SWEET (1) is a gate speed horse that generally does his best work when able to lead in his races. He ran well in a stronger race at Albion Park when sitting leaders back and running on well late. He should get every chance.

BARRETT (7) hit the line strongly for second behind Radiant Amber at Albion Park. He appears likely to get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse and can be running on well late if the gaps appear at the right time.

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (4) showed gate speed last start but wasn’t quite able to get across to the pegs and was left 1-1 just battling away late for 8^th. He may have derived benefit from that run and should be better suited stepping back to Redcliffe.

WAR CLUB (8) has options from the draw whether he heads to the rails or elects to stay in the running line. He should get a good run again and was running on well late last start.

RACE 2 

PRINCE JOY (5) won dominantly last start when finding the front after working hard and raced away for a big win. He finds a race that only appears marginally stronger and is likely to press forward again and should prove hard to beat. 

GRIGORA (6) appears well graded in this race despite starting from a wide draw he looks one of the horses to beat. He may rely on a genuine tempo getting back from the wide gate and running on late.

ASHLEE NITRO (1) hasn’t been at her absolute best in recent outings but draws well in what appears to be one of the weakest races she has contested in some time. If she can find the right horse to follow she could be an improver in this race.

FREELANE DANCER (7) should get a good run on the pegs without having done too much early work. She was well beaten last start in a stronger race behind Call It Bling over the 2138 at Albion Park.

RACE 3

UNCLE CRAIGO (1) with the aid of the inside draw at the 2040 start point he should be able to drive through and lead this race. He had very little luck last start when starting outside the front row and running on late. His effort prior to that was good in solid time for the grade when running into the placings.

GREAT ACHIEVER (6) scored a good win at this track and trip last start when being suited by a genuine tempo. He draws wide again in this race and may need to do work at some stage. Should be thereabouts with luck in running at some stage.

DREAM MELODY (3) has good early speed and should be able to find a position close enough to the speed. She has had success at this track and trip previously and looks to find another suitable race.

DOO DONT THINK (7) should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse. Should get every chance.

RACE 4 

AMILLIONCHANCES (1) is a horse that does plenty wrong at times which could make gate 1 a difficult draw in this race given last time he had this draw he made a break. If he can hold a position early he should be thereabouts in this company.

HANOVER LECTOR (4) took on a stronger race taken out by Boston Beauty last start at Albion Park. She had run well her start prior when finishing off well late and appears to have found a race which could be suitable.

FAVREAU (9) has had two runs back from a spell and comes into this race third up likely having derived benefit from his past two outings. He had trialled well leading into his first up outing and should be competitive in this company.

TOBEFAIRTOYOU (6) is first up from a spell in this race and draws widest. Should be running on late if the race is run to suit.

SUGGESTED BET: FAVREAU (9) each way.

RACE 5

GHOST TRAIN (1) has good early speed and should be able to drive through and lead this race. He was a good winner two starts ago before doing things wrong last start after stepping well early from the stand start. He looks hard to beat.

LETS GET SHORTY (7) should get a good run through on the back of Ghost Train who is a gate speed horse that generally likes to hold a forward position. He was running on well late behind Prospectus last start and appears to land in a similar race here.

OUR DOLLY (9) took on a stronger race at Albion Park last start taken out by Absolutely Stoked. She may be forced to do the work in this race but has proved successful previously under those circumstances.

SHES BEWITCHED (3) was a winner two starts ago when securing a good run on the leaders back at Marburg and proving too good late. She should be able to secure a good run again in this race.

RACE 6 

CALL IT BLING (4) scored another impressive win last start running on over the top over the 2138 at Albion Park. He has the draw advantage on key rivals in this race and can look to hold that advantage in the early stages. He looks the horse to beat.

EYE SEE THESEASIDE (6) is in very good form and has scored three wins in her last five starts. She has shown a number of times she is capable of working in the run and still fighting out the finish which she may be forced to do in this race from the wide draw.

CEDAR CREEK FALLS (8) ran well three starts ago when closing best to score at Albion Park. She appears to find a weaker race here than what she has contested in her two latest starts and should be running on late.

PENNIE PACKER (3) was shuffled back on the fence last start in a race won by My Ultimate Felix and finished off well late. Draws slightly awkwardly in this race and can be running into it late again.

SELECTIONS: CALL IT BLING (4), EYE SEE THESEASIDE (6), CEDAR CREEK FALLS (8), PENNIE PACKER (3)

SUGGESTED BET: CALL IT BLING (4) to win. 

RACE 7

KEG ON LEGS (4) returned last start and performed well when sitting without cover. Appears to have landed in a tougher maiden this time and may be forced to do the work again in this race.

MOONSHINE MILLY (6) has been unplaced in his four career starts so far but has taken on much stronger company and has done plenty wrong. He trialled well ahead of a return to the races following his last start error where he was forced back to the trials.

BOSTON ASSASSIN (8) secured a good run last start and was able to run second there. Draws favourably on the back row where he won’t need to do any work and can be running on late if the tempo suits.

MUM SAID SO (2) has early speed and might be able to find the front in this race. Ran well last start after finding the front and can look to do the same in this race.

RACE 8

HIGHNMIGHTY (4) returned nicely with a good win when running over the top late. He is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that effort and finds another suitable race where he draws the front row.

DARETODANCE (2) has good early speed and should be able to find the front before having options from there. Was running on well in a stronger race two starts ago behind Bettors Moon before battling away for fourth last start after starting on the back row.

APACHE BART (1) has poor numerical form and was first up for Matt Crone last start when running eighth. He made an error in the run and was finishing off nicely late once getting back into a pace. He should be an improver in this race if he can do everything right.

JACKS FYRE (6) got a long way back in the run in a race taken out by Tactical Illusion. This race appears to have less depth and he can be running into the money again if the race is run to suit.
