RACE 1

SEA FURY (2) looks the leader in the race given he draws directly outside of a horse that doesn’t usually leave the gate very well. He was solid last start after not finding the pegs. He likely lands in a winnable race if he’s able to control things out in front.

SIR BRIGADOON (1) isn’t a horse with a huge amount of gate speed but is likely to still hold a forward position in this race from the good draw. He hit the line solidly last start after getting a long way back in the run.

ALWAYS LOCKSLEY (3) has taken on much stronger races in recent outings and appears to be dropping a long way in grade into this race. He has shown previously he is a horse that is capable of doing some work and still being there at the finish.

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (8) was driven quietly early last start and hit the line strongly late once presented into the clear. He appears well placed again in this race form a good draw. Should be running on if the race is run to suit.

SELECTIONS: SEA FURY (2), SIR BRIGADOON (1), ALWAYS LOCKSLEY (3), MY ULTIMATE COBBER (8)

SUGGESTED BET: SIR BRIGADOON (1) to win.

RACE 2

BONNIES CAM (10) is a very good stand start horse that usually begins quickly behind the tapes. He looks well handicapped in this race facing just a 30 metre handicap which he may make light work of at the start. He looks hard to beat.

GETAGRIP (9) has shown good ability against classy 3YOs and appears well placed in this company. He trailed sharply behind Blue Suede Rocka in a recent stand start trial where they ran fast time.

SIX TIMES A LADY (6) began slowly but safely when starting in her latest stand start trial at Albion Park. She has been racing fairly in slightly easier company. With a good beginning can be thereabouts.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (1) has been racing quite well in easier company. He has some stand start experience and generally seems to begin quite safely. Should be able to capitalise on the good draw.

SELECTIONS: BONNIES CAM (10), GETAGRIP (9), SIX TIMES A LADY (6), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (1)

SUGGESTED BET: BONNIES CAM (10) to win.

RACE 3

VIKANDER (1) showed good gate speed two starts ago in an easier race where he was forced to do a lot of work and was still running on late for third. He then appeared to hit the line strongly last start at Albion Park. He has options from the draw and should be thereabouts.

MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC (8) handed over in the early stages to Reds Star Deal over the 2040 and ran a clear second to that horse after following him in the run. He draws well in this not having to do any work to find a position in the running line following a quick beginner. Should be in the finish again.

JIVE MASTER (2) has good early speed and may look to press forward and look for a prominent position in this race. He showed gate speed before being forced to sit outside the leader last start which is a position that hasn’t suited him in the past.

ULTIMATE ARK (3) wasn’t beaten far behind Heza Maywyn after being forced to do the work outside the leader. He looks likely to be forced to do some work again in this race from an awkward draw.

SELECTIONS: VIKANDER (1), MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC (8), JIVE MASTER (2), ULTIMATE ARK (3)

SUGGESTED BET: VIKANDER (1) to win.

RACE 4

MISTY CREEK (10) has been racing in much stronger company and has earned the 30 metre handicap he faces in this race. He took on Chezz Dale last start after starting from a wide gate in a race that was dominated by horses up on speed.

AZOR AHAI (9) has seemingly been best suited in his races when driven quietly early. He has run well from the stand start at Marburg and seems to begin quite well. Needs to begin well off the 20 metre handicap and should be in the finish if he does.

KEAYANG TARA (8) was a last start winner when running over the top to score a nice victory at Gatton. Had ben racing in good form prior to that win and appears well suited again in this race.

AUNTY FRANCES (1) was a winner three starts ago when securing a good run and flashing over the top late to score. If she is able to begin well she looks one for the minor money.

SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (10), AZOR AHAI (9), KEAYANG TARA (8), AUNTY FRANCES (1)

SUGGESTED BET: AZOR AHAI (9) to win.

RACE 5

BOKHARI (2) has good gate speed and enjoys racing over the 2040 journey having scored a good recent win at the trip. She appears likely to be able to work to the lead again in this race and should be hard to run down if able to control things early.

MAYWYNS ACE (1) has been driven with a sit in recent starts and appears another good opportunity in this race to secure a good run just behind the speed. Ran a good third behind Macs A Dude last start.

KEAYANG MOSCATO (6) drops back in class into this race. Scored a good win at this track four starts ago in good time for the grade. Will need the speed on early and can be running on late.

MISS SYRAH (8) was a good winner four starts ago at this track. Generally seems to do her best work when able to lead which she is unlikely to be able to in this race.

SELECTIONS: BOKHARI (2), MAYWYNS ACE (1), KEAYANG MOSCATO (6), MISS SYRAH (8)

SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYNS ACE (1) to win.

RACE 6

LETTERKENNY BOY (9) appears extremely well placed in this race off just a 20 metre handicap. He was an impressive winner four starts ago at Marburg in a much stronger race rating good time for the 2200 there. Should be able to find a prominent position in this race and be hard to beat as a result.

THE HARRIS HAWK (10) has been in good form having run second in his last two starts. He appears to be one of the class runners in the field but doesn’t look one of the better handicapped horses coming off the 20 metre handicap so will need to begin well early.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (8) was forced to do a lot of work in the middle starts last start to find the front and was only run down late by the horse on her back. She is the best handicapped off the main chances in this race and can look to hold that advantage.

MAN OF ACTION (7) hasn’t been at his absolute best in recent outings. He may be better suited from the stand start doing less early work.

SELECTIONS: LETTERKENNY BOY (9), THE HARRIS HAWK (10), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (8), MAN OF ACTION (7)

SUGGESTED BET: LETTERKENNY BOY (9) to win.

RACE 7

MISTER DELWIN (9) was well beaten last start by Rocksngems at Albion Park in what was a much stronger race where they rated fast time for the grade. He drops back a long way in grad into this race. He generally runs on well when driven quietly in the early stages and gets that opoportunity in this race from the good draw.

TREACHEROUS GABBY (7) has run a string of minor placings her past 5 starts and appears to strike a winnable race with Pete Mcmullen taking the drive. She generally goes well when driven quietly early. Follows a horse that is likely to want to hold a forward position in the race.

ROSARITO (6) was a good winner three starts ago when running over the top late. Draws poorly in this race and will likely be relying on a solid early tempo to bring him into the race.

MATAI REACTOR (4) was running on strongly late last start in a race that was run to suit. Appears another race which could generate a solid early tempo which should allow him to be running on into the finish again.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DELWIN (9), TREACHEROUS GABBY (7), ROSARITO (6), MATAI REACTOR (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DELWIN (9) to win.

RACE 8

OUR MAJOR DAY (10) has a considerable class edge on his rivals in this race having contested much stronger races. He was good last start beginning quickly from the stand start to find the position behind Iron Clad before running second. The 40 metre handicap is certainly a leveller but with a quick getaway he should be hard to beat.

GRACENAVA (8) has been racing well. Has previously run well from the stand start beginning safely. Her latest stand start at Marburg she took on a strong field and didn’t have a lot of luck when working hard to hold the lead.

ONE LAST ROLL (7) usually begins quickly from the stand. He should be up on speed again in this race where he usually does his best racing. Looks a good chance of figuring in the minor money.

HES REGAL (1) was able to qualify from the stand start at Albion Park when stepping away extremely slowly in the early stages. Should be better for that experience but will need to step much better in this race to be a winning hope given he is generally a horse that does his best work in front.

SELECTIONS: OUR MAJOR DAY (10), GRACENAVA (8), ONE LAST ROLL (7), HES REGAL (1)

SUGGESTED BET: OUR MAJOR DAY (1) to win.

RACE 9

RALLY AROUND (8) wasn’t beaten far last start when beaten by Shes My Mistake last start at Albion Park in moderate overall time. He may be forced to do the work in this race from the back row draw with his main dangers likely to be up on speed.

BOSTON ASSASSIN (7) had no luck last start when held up for clear running at a crucial stage at Albion Park in a race taken out by Shes My Mistake. Appears to have drawn another gate where he will be relying on luck at the right time but follows a gate speed horse and should be hard to beat.

MULLUNM JUDITH (1) showed good gate speed to lead two starts ago and was only just run down late when finishing third. Was forced to do the work last start which didn’t suit. Should be able to lead again and looks hard to beat.

LACEYS LASS (2) is a newcomer to the stable of Mathew Clayton having previously raced for the stable of Grant Dixon. Trialled fairly behind Justanother Torque and should be thereabouts the minor money in this race from a good draw.

SELECTIONS: RALLY AROUND (8), BOSTON ASSASSIN (7), MULLUNM JUDITH (1), LACEYS LASS (2)

SUGGESTED BET: BOSTON ASASSIN (7) each way.
