Form Analysis: Marburg October 6

RACE 1 

BETTOR BE BOHDI (5) trialled up nicely recently when not beaten far by Moonshine Milly and Rockn Sam two horses which have both broken maiden status. He then drew wide and took on a strong race at Albion Park where he finished last but is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from the outing. 

KEEPING IT SIMPLE (3) was left without cover recently and battled away well for fourth when first up from a spell. If she is able to find the front this time, having derived benefit from that first up outing she is likely to prove hard to catch in this race.

SPEEDBUMP (4) was solid in a recent trial behind Luvn Osman at Albion Park beaten 7.4 metres. He is likely to have derived benefit from his trials and should be thereabouts with the right run.

GOODTIME FLETCH (9) has just been battling away when well beaten in recent outings but is likely to find this easier than a few of his recent outings. He hasn’t been done any favours by the draw and will need the race to be run to suit.

RACE 2 

STONES (8) took on a stronger race two starts ago taken out by Shaktie and wasn’t beaten far there. He draws poorly in this race on the back row but does seemingly bring in some of the stronger form and if there is any tempo he can be running into it late.

NIGHT NINJA (6) was able to secure a good run five starts ago at this track when sitting leaders back and filling a minor placing. He looks likely to secure another economical run from the good draw and in this company he should be thereabouts.

MOLLIDOR (2) has good early speed and has run well at this track after holding a forward position leading or leaders back previously. She drew the inside last start in a stronger race and was well beaten.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5) returns in this race having not raced since early September. His latest run he came from off the speed and was hitting the line strongly late. Should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running on late again.

RACE 3

ONE LAST ROLL (2) was able to rate fast time in a heat of the Garrards Showcase stand start series before taking out the final when running on best late. He appears well handicapped in this race coming off the front and if he can step well and lead he would give them something to catch.

MADRIGAL (5) was running on late last start at Redcliffe after drawing the back row. She had run very well her run prior behind Soap Opera who rated fast time out in front. She has a good record from the stand start and should get every chance with a quick beginning off just 20 metres. 

MISTY CREEK (7) scored an impressive win from the stand start four starts ago when galloping early before recovering and still winning off a 30 metre handicap. He likely cant afford to make the same mistakes early that he has been in recent stand starts given the tight circuit at Marburg which is likely to make it hard work for those horses off handicaps.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (1) was able to run on best to score recently at Albion Park. If he begins safely from the stand start he should secure a good run and could add value to exotics if able to fill a position in the minor money.

RACE 4 

SKYLAR BREE (4) showed good gate speed last start at Albion Park before being shuffled back early. Five starts ago she led at Marburg and was able to run a close second. She may look to press forward and should be hard to beat. 

SIGNOR JUJON (8) brings the best form into this race and has been racing well in recent starts. He draws the back row in this race but is seemingly better at this stage of his career when not used early off the gate. Should be running on late if the tempo suits. 

MELTON SCHLEGER (7) finished fifth last start behind Gotta Dream after getting a long way back in the run. He is likely to get a reasonable run through early and can be close enough to be in the finish with the right run.

WRITE ABOUT ANGUS (5) took on a race taken out by October Racketeer recently at this track when finishing third. He appears likely to be shuffled back early but does appear to find a suitable race.

RACE 5

MY ULTIMATE RUDI (3) scored his latest win at this track showing gate speed and leading all the way. He may struggle to cross Captain Oh Captain in this race but if he was able to cross to the inside he would become the horse to beat. 

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (4) found the front five starts ago when able to rate good time out in front running second. She since hasn’t had much luck in her latest two outings. In this grade she is capable of doing work in the run and still figuring in the finish and should be thereabouts again in this race. 

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (7) was forced to do a lot of early work last start in a race taken out by Shesallaboutluv who has made a good start to her QLD career scoring two wins. Should get a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit can be running into it late. 

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (1) scored an all the way victory three starts ago when able to lead all the way at this track. This race looks a bit tougher and he will need to secure the right run.

RACE 6 

OUTER CHANGE (1) was forced to do the work last start and was well beaten as a result. Last time she was able to lead she scored a dominant win over the 2040 at Redcliffe. She appears likely to lead again and a similar effort would see her hard to beat out in front.

FILLY THIRTEEN (4) should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running into it late. Was able to run fourth in a slightly tougher race recently at this track behind October Racketeer. 

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (5) has good early speed but does draw wide in a race with plenty of gate speed drawn to his inside. He was held up at a crucial stage last start in a stronger race over the 2138 at Albion Park.

ICANANDIWILL (6) should get a good run through on the back of a horse that will likely attempt to hold a forward position in this race. Three starts ago she was well beaten behind Keayang Moscato at this track but is likely to find this company a lot easier.

RACE 7

B MAC C (4) has very good early speed and being drawn wider on the track in a race without a huge amount of gate speed he may be able to launch across in the early stages. He led four starts ago and was just beaten by Radiant Amber who was very impressive scoring from off the speed. 

VINCENT TIME (1) has moderate gate speed and will likely be doing his best to burrow through and lead this race given he is best suited when able to lead in his races. His latest win came at this track when sitting without cover and proving too good there. 

SARGEANT (6) should get a good run through on the back of a horse that will be keen to hold a forward position in the race. He was shuffled a long way back last start by a tiring runner and was making up ground once he got into the clear. 

SPLASHNDASH (7) was able to secure a good run on the leaders back last start and just couldn’t quite reel in the winner late at Redcliffe. He was able to run on strongly recently at Albion Park after being caught wide early and forced to the rear of the field. He will be relying on a genuine early tempo in this race.
