RACE 1

WINDY HILL WALLY (2) doesn’t have much early speed but draws outside of a horse with even less early speed is drawn directly to his inside. The 2040 start point allows him a chance to drive through and hold a forward position in this race. If he can hold a forward position he would be hard to beat in this grade.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (6) has good early speed but does draw widest in this race. He was sat up just off the speed and saved for one run at them two starts over proving too good for them when running over the top late to score. He draws poorly in this race but can figure with the right run.

BLACKJACK BART (1) has very little gate speed which is very likely to see him shuffled back early. He has had success racing over this track and trip previously and should be suited if he can get into the clear the right time in this race.

CAPTAINS PICK (7) got a suitable trip last start and didn’t finish off the race like he can. He should get an economical run in this race and if he can bounce back to somewhere near his best he should be hard to beat in this race.

SELECTIONS: WINDY HILL WALLY (2), ALLMIGHTY MAX (6), BLACKJACK BART (1), CAPTAINS PICK (7)

SUGGESTED BET: WINDY HILL WALLY (2) to win.

RACE 2

BETTERTHAN POPSY (8) was a good winner in a similar type of race four starts ago at this track and trip. He appears to draw ideally in this race following out a gate speed horse in the early stages of the race. If the race is run to suit he can be running over the top late.

WESTERN ARTERRA (2) has good gate speed and should be able to work to the lead in this race. He led last start over the likely more suitable 1780 and proved too good there leading all the way. He meets a similar field here but does step up in trip and that may not be ideal.

GLENLEDI BOY (4) trialled up reasonably recently behind the classy Regazzo Di Tilly. He is likely to have derived good benefit from that outing and should be hard to beat in this class of race with the right run.

OBI ONE (7) returned nicely from a spell last start when running on well into second at this track last start after drawing poorly in a race taken out by Western Arterra. He follows out a horse in this race that appears to be badly outclassed and may need luck to get into the clear at the right time.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHAN POPSY (8), WESTERN ARTERRA (2), GLENLEDI BOY (4), OBI ONE (7)

SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHAN POPSY (8) to win.

RACE 3

SIX TIMES A LADY (2) has early speed and might be able to press forward and find a prominent position in this race from a good draw. Has been racing better than her numerical form suggests having been badly held up last start at Albion Park at a crucial stage of the race. She appears to have found a suitable race where she may be able to break through for her first win since May.

ASHLEE NITRO (1) seems to be a long way off her best at the moment but has put in two better runs her last two starts and may be working back into some better form. She ran a good solid two starts ago when able to secure a good run on the pegs behind Taylors Four at this track over the 2040. She should secure an economical run and can be thereabouts in this grade.

FREELANCE DANCER (7) is likely to get a good run through on the early stages on a horse that is likely to be close enough to the speed in this race. She was a winner five starts ago in decent time for the grade after securing a soft run in the race and running over the top late to score.

BURNS BAY (5) appears to draw awkwardly out wide on the track in this race and may get back in the run. He does appear quite well graded and ran a good race behind Dee Terror a few starts ago when finishing third. He can be running on late if the race is run to suit.

SELECTIONS: SIX TIMES A LADY (2), ASHLEE NITRO (1), FREELANCE DANCER (7), BURNS BAY (5)

SUGGESTED BET: SIX TIMES A LADY (2) to win.

RACE 4

CEDAR CREEK FALLS (6) did all the work last start and proved too good for them despite the tough run. She had previously been known best for her sit sprint capacity showing she is racing near her peak at the moment. She draws wide in this race and may be forced to do the work again in this race.

PUNTERS JEWEL (2) has good early speed and should be able to work to the lead in the early stages of this race given he is drawn outside of a race that is likely to find this tough having been well beaten by Cedar Creek Falls last start after leading. He put in an excellent run to hold a clear second last start behind Sir Richard Lee who rated fast time for the grade over the 2040. If he leads he can be hard to catch.

BART BENTLEY (9) ran a much better race two starts ago when running on into second two starts ago behind Nautie Galvinator. He should secure a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit he can be running into it late.

UNCLE CRAIGO (8) was well beaten in a race which was taken out last start by Sir Richard Lee at this track. He is likely to find this a lot easier and should get a good run through in the early stages.

SELECTIONS: CEDAR CREEK FALLS (6), PUNTERS JEWEL (2), BART BENTLEY (9), UNCLE CRAIGO (8)

SUGGESTED BET: PUNTERS JEWEL (2) to win.

RACE 5

BETTING BARON (3) led two starts ago and was just beaten late by Marksman who secured a good run off the speed. He then put in a good run last start when sitting without cover and battling on strongly to be beaten just 2.7 metres by Jukebox Jet. This appears a race he may be able to lead and if he does he will take plenty of running down.

RIGHTYO (8) ran on well last start in a race that wasn’t run to suit horses back in the field in a race taken out by Copy Writer. He should get a good run through again in this race from a suitable draw and if the race is run to suit he can be hard to hold out late after a number of good placings.

SNIP OF BEAUTY (7) started from a poor draw last time out at Albion Park and ran on well into sixth. She appears to draw awkwardly in this race inside the back row and will need luck at the right time to figure. If the gaps appear she should be hard to hold out in this company.

SHES BEWITCHED (1) was left without cover last start and was well beaten as a result. She may have enough speed to dictate early and if she was able to take a sit on a more favoured runner she could finish somewhere in the money.

SELECTIONS: BETTING BARON (3), RIGHTYO (8), SNIP OF BEAUTY (7), SHES BEWITCHED (1)

SUGGESTED BET: BETTING BARON (3) to win.

RACE 6

SHES ALLABOUTLUV (9) has been good since returning from a spell having scored two wins before running second time out when beaten by Mister Robin Hood at this track. She is likely to look to work around the field to find a forward position in this race at some stage and should be hard to beat.

LOSTANDFOUND (7) should get a good run through in this race on the back of a gate speed horse. He secured a good run two starts at Albion Park when using the sprint lane late to score over Millwood Brooklyn. He then faced the breeze last start in a quickly run race and was entitled to tire late. He should be hard to hold out.

THE COOKIE MONSTER (5) was first up from a spell last start when battling away late for fourth after leading in a solid field. He should be better for that outing and may look to press forward and find a prominent position in this race.

BRITTS MATE (6) was first up last start when racing at Albion Park in a race taken out by Beyond Doubt in fast time. She appeared to battle away well to be beaten just 17.5 metres in that race and should be better for the outing.

SELECTIONS: SHES ALLABOUTLUV (9), LOSTANDFOUND (7), THE COOKIE MONSTER (5), BRITTS MATE (6)

SUGGESTED BET: LOSTANDFOUND (7) each way.

RACE 7

SHEEZANIDEALTORQUE (7) put in an impressive effort last start coming from back in the field to finish second to Justanother Torque. She should get a good run through on the back of Veesign who has previously shown gate speed. If she gets clear at the right time she should be hard to hold out late.

VEESIGN (1) has previously shown gate speed and will likely look to hold a forward position in this race. He returns from a spell without having trialled so fitness first up may be a query in this race. He showed good ability last campaign and will be hard to run down at his best.

MULLUM JUDITH (6) starts from a poor draw in this race outside the front row and will likely be forced to work early or get a long way back in the run. She ran well last start to finish fourth behind Justanother Torque after making an early error which leaves her ODM for this race.

THREEOEIGHT (2) hit the line well two starts ago when racing off the speed to finish a distant third. He then was forced to race in the breeze last start and was well beaten as a result. If he can secure a more economical run in this race he can figure late.

SELECTIONS: SHEEZANIDEALTORQUE (7), VEESIGN (1), MULLUM JUDITH (6), THREEOEIGHT (2)

SUGGESTED BET: SHEEZANIDEALTORQUE (7) to win.

RACE 8

ALL EYES ON BLING (2) has been impressive so far in his career winning nicely on debut after obtaining a good run 1-1 before not having much luck last start when running third. Gate speed is a query but if he is able to find the front in this race he is going to prove hard to run down.

CHEEKY BABY (4) has been building towards another win and put in an excellent run last start when sitting in the breeze before battling away for a very good second to a horse that looks to be quite smart in Motion To Torque. If she can secure a good run in this race she can be thereabouts and should be one of the hardest to beat.

MAJIC JUJON (7) drew wide last start and got a long way back in the run before hitting the line strongly late to finish fourth behind Motion To Torque. Appears to draw a touch awkwardly in this race but should get an economical run close enough to the speed and if the gaps appear she can be running into the finish late.

VICTREE BUSTA (8) returns from a spell in this race having trialled a number of times. His latest trial was reasonable when finishing third behind Moonshiner and I Am Caesar. He is likely to have derived benefit from his recent trials and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: ALL EYES ON BLING (2), CHEEKY BABY (4), MAJIC JUJON (7), VICTREE BUSTA (8)

SUGGESTED BET: ALL EYES ON BLING (2) to win.

RACE 9

ADAH KOKO (4) brings solid form into this race returning to QLD after a campaign in NSW where she was placed twice in eight starts. She showed good gate speed last start and was just beaten by I Am Ravishing which looks good form for a race of this nature. She looks hardest to beat in this race.

GOODTIME FLETCH (1) secure a good run last start after showing gate speed on the back of Justanother Torque. He should secure a good run again from a good draw in this race. Can be thereabouts the placings in this race with a good run in the race.

PICCOLO DIAVOLO (3) comes into this race third up from a spell having put in a good run last start finishing fifth behind Bennydasook at Albion Park. He should secure a good run in this race close enough to the speed.

FREE REIGN (6) has been solid in two career starts so far getting into awkward positions in the run and running into it well late. Appears likely to be getting back in the run in this race from a poor draw but does find what looks to be a field with less depth.

SELECTIONS: ADAH KOKO (4), GOODTIME FLETCH (1), PICCOLO DIAVOLO (3), FREE REIGN (6)

SUGGESTED BET: ADAH KOKO (4) to win.
