Form Analysis: Albion Park November 18

18 November 2025

RACE ONE

Returning from a spell and with The Great Square on the horizon, AJAY VOLSTEAD (7) finds the right conditions off a front line tape fresh. Scoring over the mobile mile two starts back, he was only beaten a head by MCGEE at his last run. With a pipe opening trial, this is well within reach.

 KODA DA MODA (4)
has worked her way back into some good form and lines up after placing in four of her past five. In the midst of the DJA Series, she attacked the line in nice order on Friday when 4m from GOLDEN SUNSET to grab the silver. With the right trip she can challenge.

 SON OF A SUN (8)
was runner-up to HAMMER SON last time out when sent forward from the mobile to find the front. Only collared in the last strides, he can be forward to feature again.

 TE RAPA (2)
made an early error last start which proved costly and has potentially ended his DJA chances when finishing near the rear. A safe start and a soft trip can see him turn it around.

SELECTIONS: AJAY VOLSTEAD (7), KODA DA MODA (4), SON OF A SUN (8), TE RAPA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: AJAY VOLSTEAD (7) to win

RACE TWO

Producing some consistent results but just finding a win out of reach at each assignment, VOLTAIN (5) might just convert the opportunities here. Placed her past five in succession, the latest as a beaten fav when 5m from LIZZIES SON, the front tape will again be gold.

 WHIRLWIND WILBUR (7)
was runner-up in the same race referenced above, rolling forward off 20m to sit parked and then trying to issue the last volley in the stretch when beaten 4m. A winner off the same impost the start prior, this looks no different, and he can throw it down.

 CROOKWELL EYES (8)
hit the line in good order last time out to be just behind the money as LIZZIES SON arrived. A similar trip off the same tape can see him loom.

 MORE SURPRISES (10)
would prove no surprise if she is able to feature on the podium here. Producing the best last 800m out of the race that six of the 12 all enter this contest out of, she also moves forward 10m.

SELECTIONS: VOLTAIN (5), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (7), CROOKWELL EYES (8), MORE SURPRISES (10)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

A return to 2YO only maiden conditions looks the ideal catalyst for WICKED WHISKEY (2) to open the account. Chasing home KIKI MEISTER when unplaced in a field of six in the Sunshine Stars heats, the start prior he was chasing off an awkward gate behind an older winner.

 DONT ASK AGAIN (8)
was on debut from gate 1 where she was able to take the trail. Unable to reel in the winner, the first up performance had merit with a 7m 2nd. Taking experience from that effort, the map could see her in the trail again here to issue the challenge.

 OUR ULTIMATE BEATY (3)
will be second up for the new stable after heading to Redcliffe first up and forced to sit parked in a 7m deficit. Settling handy can see her feature.

MAYWYN VALENTINO (9) held on for the bronze behind BENNYDASOOK two starts back when starting from inside the second line. Unable to get warm last start, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: WICKED WHISKEY (2), DONT ASK AGAIN (8), OUR ULTIMATE BEATY (3), MAYWYN VALENTINO (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
WICKED WHISKEY (2) to win

RACE FOUR

Chasing a hat-trick of victories, OUR DICKIE BART (10) was too slippery once the gap opened last time out. Starting from inside the second line, he secured the trail and pulled clear in the stretch once free. Too strong from outside the second line at 2138 the start prior, he finds the right opposition to complete the threepeat.

 MONOPOLLIE (5)
will take good benefit from his last start where he was resuming from a spell over 2138. Sent forward to set the tempo, he was giving to the line when holding on for the silver behind subsequent winner MY ULTIMATE COSSIE. Back to the mile is in his favour.

 BRACKEN WARRIOR (2)
arrives in Qld chasing his first win after 13 fruitless attempts in NSW this season. Under 3m at his last outing at Goulburn, he has early hustle and stays under watch.

 BUDDY PERFECT (6)
was making some good metres in the closing stages last time out to grab the bronze. Placed his past three in succession, a drought breaking win is not far away.

SELECTIONS: OUR DICKIE BART (10), MONOPOLLIE (5), BRACKEN WARRIOR (2), BUDDY PERFECT (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
OUR DICKIE BART (10) to win

RACE FIVE

Put a line through the last start for ROYAL PRINCESS (6) as a forgive performance. Under 3m from the winner in grabbing 2nd two starts back, that had followed a win over this same trip after descending from the running line. Despite the awkward gate, she can bounce back with the W.

 MAYWYNS KAREN (10)
has hit the board at her past four, including a pair of wins. Overcoming the outside second line at the Redcliffe 2040 last start, she was runner-up from gate 7 to OUR DICKIE BART at this trip two back, suggesting that she can throw it down in this line up.

 JOHN SNOW (9)
has placed in all four appearances beyond the sprint trip. Strong to the line from gate 7 three starts back when runner-up, with the right trip he can be joining in.

 FULL OF CHARM (11)
resumes from a spell following her last start back in July when making an early error. Given a trial in readiness for the return, the 2138 is the big query.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL PRINCESS (6), MAYWYNS KAREN (10), JOHN SNOW (9), FULL OF CHARM (11)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ROYAL PRINCESS (6) to win

RACE SIX

A tricky contest not made any easier by the middle trip this race presents. MACS A DUDE (10) did not have the smoothest passage last start and still was not too far from the winner OUR DICKIE BART. Strong to the line at Redcliffe the start prior, this is not out of reach.

 TEACHERS PET (4)
took the trail from gate 1 over this same trip three starts back when using the passing lane but just missing the money. Strong to the line for the bronze at Redcliffe at her next start, she was forced to park out last time. Settling cheaply will be a big plus to her chances.

 BEAU STEELE (5)
was a winner at the Redcliffe middle trip two starts back when pouncing on the poles and taking them all the way. Midfield last start, he can make a podium play here.

 WICKED SUSAN (7)
is given no favours from the gate in her first appearance for the new barn. Just behind the placings in her past two at Newcastle, she stays under notice here.

SELECTIONS: MACS A DUDE (10), TEACHERS PET (4), BEAU STEELE (5), WICKED SUSAN (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MACS A DUDE (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

Starring from this same tape last start, HECTOR (7) was angled wider at the 400 to make his run and loomed strongly, only to be outsprinted by DISTRICT ATTORNEY. His previous three runs for the new stable have had merit and with the improvement from last start can capitalise here.

 SEND IT (8)
was a winner in Saturday night company four runs back from the 20m tape at 2138 when pressing hard soon after the start to find the front and dictate. His past three under mobile conditions have been sound against strong opposition and making light work of 30m over the 13 furlongs can see him throw it down.

 GO THE RED (1)
got it all wrong when the tapes were released here last week and was left chasing as an unplaced fav. Strong to the line the start prior, a safe start will be vital.

 MIRACLE MOOSE (6)
found the pocket trail from the 10m tape last start but lost all momentum when needing space entering the stretch. With the right trip, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: HECTOR (7), SEND IT (8), GO THE RED (1), MIRACLE MOOSE (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
HECTOR (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

Landing the marble to take full advantage of his early speed, BRAVENTREACHEROUS (1) will be presented with all the options from this gate. Taking cover and claiming silver behind the jet FERNCO NEL last start, he saw them off from the front the start prior and can capitalise here.

 DEMON BLUE (5)
was first up since the Qld Derby when tackling the mile last time out from gate 2. Forced to sit parked, he was unable to go with FERNCO NEL in the latter stages in a 26.3 last panel. Fiter for the run, this looks more within his reach to issue the challenge.

 BEACHRIDE (9)
was a passing lane winner three starts back and has not been suited from wide gates in his subsequent two outings, With the trailing trip, he can chime in for a minor.

 COMMODORE JUJON (6)
has the experience factor to call on and is never far from the action. Only 6m from the airborne TREMENDOUS SENSATION last start, he grabbed the bronze behind DARIN two back.

SELECTIONS: BRAVENTREACHEROUS (1), DEMON BLUE (5), BEACHRIDE (9), COMMODORE JUJON (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BRAVENTREACHEROUS (1) to win
