Form Analysis: Redcliffe November 5

RACE 1 

LAST TIME JOE (1) has moderate early speed and may be able to drive through and lead this race. He hasn’t led in a race since earlier this year in April when beaten by Miracle Moose in fast time. He should be hard to beat. 

RADIANT AMBER (7) bounced back to form last start when running into it strongly late at this track behind Western Arterra. She draws favourably to follow the likely leader in the race. She should be thereabouts the placings with the right run.

O B LEGAL (2) is a significant class dropper into this race having recently contested an open class race when first up from a spell taken out by Aroda. He has early speed but may not quite be able to cross down to the fence. 

GLENLEDI BOY (8) returned well from a spell last start running a good second after finding the lead. He should get a soft run in this race and having derived benefit from the first up effort he should be thereabouts in this race.

RACE 2 

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (10) returns from a little break between runs having not raced since late September. She took on a recent stand start trial were she ran well beating the in-form One Last Roll. She is likely to have derived benefit from her recent trial and should be running into it late if the race is run to suit.

JIVE MASTER (5) was a winner at this track and distance last start when running on from off the speed. He hasn’t raced for nearly a month which appears a query although he hadn’t run for nearly a month before his most recent start and was still able to score there. He looks one of the hardest to beat.

ASHLEE NITRO (1) bounced back last start when shooting through up the sprint lane to score as she has done so many times before at this track. If she is able to secure the right run behind the speed she should be hard to hold out again.

EMMALEEN (2) swept over the top to score a good win last start at this track and distance. She draws ideally and should be close enough to the speed to be hard to hold out again.

RACE 3

UNCLE CRAIGO (1) was able to lead and score an easy win three starts ago when drawing favourably over the 2040 at this track. He draws well in this race and may be able to drive through and lead again which would likely see him hard to beat again. 

PERFECTLY QUIRKY (7) has been racing better than her numerical form having had very little luck her past two outings. She failed to find clear running two starts ago when badly held up at a crucial stage before being forced wide in the run home last start before locking wheels. Should get a good run behind the speed in this race. 

BEV THE GOAT (6) made an error at the start which leaves her ODM for this race setting her a tough task. She is quite well graded and could be hard to beat with the right run. She has shown she is capable of doing work in her races and still being in the finish late. 

BARTY BENTLEY (9) was able to break through for a good win last start when running on from off the speed in good time. He will be hoping for a genuine tempo in this race and can be running on late again.

SUGGESTED BET: PERFECTLY QUIRKY (7) each way. 

RACE 4 

ALWAYS LOCKSLEY (2) elected to stay off the pegs last start which made it difficult for him to get into the race with Rocksngems running a quick last half. Running fourth was the best case scenario for him under the circumstances given the sectionals and his position in running. If he can press onto the lead in this race he would be hard to run down. 

CAPTAINS PICK (8) appeared to have every chance three starts ago in just moderate overall time behind Mullum Hank. He then got a long way back in the run on the pegs last start and didn’t make much impression late. He should get a good run through early in this race and can be hard to hold out.

ALWAYS PROMISE ME (7) has run consecutive second placings in his last two starts and appears likely to get every chance to run another placing from a soft draw. He did well to get as close as he did last start behind Tiger Tommy.

ROLLING BONUS (1) was forced to do plenty of work last start when well beaten by Rocksngems. He should secure a much better run this time and can bounce back.

RACE 5

WEREGOINGTOGETCHA (2) has early speed and may be able to press forward and find a prominent position in this race. She didn’t have much luck last time out in a race dominated by runners on the pegs she was working early and wide when making her run late. Can bounce back.

MACS A DUDE (8) has been racing much better than his numerical form suggests. He ran on strongly into third last start after getting a long way back in the run behind Jimmy Bling. He looks likely to settle much closer in the run in this race and should be hard to hold out late. 

LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row following a horse that is likely to want cover in the race. He has been competitive in stronger races in recent outings and with luck at some stage he can figure in the finish. 

SHEEZANIDEALTORQUE (3) was able to break maiden status last time out when shooting up the inside late to score. She will need to make a step up into this race but appears capable.

RACE 6 

TRACER BULLET (5) led last start and set a strong tempo in a race which Absolutely Stoked was able to take out after securing a good run just behind the speed. He drops back in grade in this race and may be able to press forward and find a prominent position. Should be hard to beat. 

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (3) has good gate speed and may be able to press forward before having options. He has been racing in good form having run a number of good recent placings including a fourth last start behind Copy Writer. 

PERFECT FEELING (6) draw poorly in this race and will likely get back in the run in this race. He has been racing well and should be running on strongly. He was out of the placings last start but put in a good effort to not be beaten far by Jukebox Jet. 

COPY WRITER (9) has returned to form in recent starts. She was able to break through for another win two starts ago when leading all the way at this track to beat Rightyo and So Bobs Your Uncle. She should get a good run off the speed and can be running on late.

RACE 7

GOOD LOOKING JUJON (8) has run three placings since beginning her career including a good second behind a horse that looks quite smart in Blue Dragon. She should settle up close enough from a good draw and can be hard to hold out late. 

VEESIGN (2) showed gate speed last start before handing over the lead to Mullum Judith. He should be able to lead before having options from there whether to take a trail again or look to lead all the way. 

MULLUM JUDITH (6) has drawn poorly again as a result of being ODM. She ran well finishing second last time out behind Sheezanidealtorque who was able to get the perfect run up the inside after racing on the pegs. 

GLENEAGLE HUNTER (3) ran a solid third last time out when securing a good run on the pegs at Marburg. He should be close enough in the run from a good draw and can be running into it late.

RACE 8

MYTHICAL DRAGON (7) showed good ability in his first preparation. He was beaten in his second start by Gottago Barney at Albion Park in solid time for a maiden. He has trialled well enough when second prior to resuming in this race and should be hard to beat. 

AUNTY TINY (3) has good early speed and might be able to work her way to the lead in this race. She was forced to do the work outside of Bennydasook last start and was well beaten but was entitled to be given the tough run she’d endured. Should be hard to run down.

MACK ATTACK (8) comes into this race third up from a spell after two solid efforts. He was narrowly beaten when first up from a spell after weaving through to get onto the back of the leader and just missing out late behind Francs For Coming. 

TORQUE ABOUT AWISH (1) trialled well enough behind Checknoutthebill which ran well for a placing on debut behind Louminate. She should secure a good run from the favourable draw.

RACE 9

MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC (1) should have the speed to dictate in the early stages of this race from a good draw. He was sent around a well supported favourite last time out and could only manage third there behind Ashlee Nitro. A similar effort would likely see him hard to beat with a more favourable draw this time.

JACKS FYRE (2) was able to lead last start and rated good time out in front over the 1780. He steps back up to the 2040 where he has run well previously and should get a good run in this race likely just behind the speed. 

BUBBA NAY (6) draws poorly in this race but does appear to be well suited in this company. He was third behind Eye See Theseaside last time out after doing work in the early stages to find a position. 

THE COOKIE MONSTER (5) has very little luck last start at Redcliffe when checked after getting a long way back in the run. He should be nearing peak fitness third up from a spell and if the race is run to suit he can be getting into it late.
