RACE 1

DON’T FEAR FOR ME (4) ran well last start when finishing off powerfully into third narrowly missing second behind Hes Regal. He is a horse with some early speed and may be able to press forward and race up on speed which is a position he generally runs well in.

HES REGAL (10) was a good winner last start when leading all the way at this track over the 1780. He should be sat up in this race and saved for one run and can be getting into it late.

IDEAL TIGER (8) has been racing well and wasn’t beaten far two starts ago in fast time at Albion Park before not running on last time out. He generally goes well when sat up and saved for one run at them and should be hard to hold out in this race.

MYSTICALFANTASY (1) hit the line powerfully late last time out in behind Keayang Tara. This horse has always shown good ability and may have come back a better horse this time in. She comes up against some classier types in this field but from a good draw should be competitive.

SELECTIONS: DON’T FEAR FOR ME (4), HES REGAL (10), IDEAL TIGER (8), MYSTICALFANTASY (1)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 2

THERESACHANCE (1) is a gate speed horse that does all of his best racing when able to get out in front and he loves racing at this track. He has poor numerical form but has been going a lot better than that numerical form would suggest for a race of this nature and he should be hard to beat.

MERRY JEWEL (7) should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse. She was able to run a solid second recently at Marburg when leading and being run down late by Krafty Candy. She seemingly over raced a touch there and may be better following.

BEER MONEY (8) bounced back to form last start when zipping off the gate speed and score a dominant win. He should secure a good run through in this race however it pans out early and can be thereabouts again.

ARNOLD STREET (6) is a gate speed horse but does find a race where there is good gate speed underneath. He may struggle to get across in the early stages. He does look reasonably well graded in this race and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: THERESACHANCE (1), MERRY JEWEL (7), BEER MONEY (8), ARNOLD STREET (6)

SUGGESTED BET: THERESACHANCE (1) to win.

RACE 3

GHOST TRAIN (1) should be able to drive through and lead this race. He hasn’t been at his absolute best in recent outings but appears to get conditions to suit in this race and may be able to bounce back to form obtaining one of his favourite positions out in front.

GRACENAVA (8) ran a good second last start when finishing off strongly to get into second behind Dashndot. She generally races well at this track and should get a good run through. If the race is run to suit she can be getting into it late.

TAKE COURAGE (6) has been much better in recent starts. She copped strong pressure two starts ago and was able to battle away for a very good second before running on well again last start.

ROYAL WINKLE (3) showed gate speed last start but wasn’t quite able to get across to the lead and probably did more work than he is suited to. He is likely better suited over the 1780 and should be hard to beat.

SELECTIONS: GHOST TRAIN (1), GRACENAVA (8), TAKE COURAGE (6), ROYAL WINKLE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: GHOST TRAIN (1) to win.

RACE 4

BOKHARI (1) draws well in this race and has been able to lead and win over the 2040 at this track in the past. She is a somewhat one paced mare which sees her better suited over this trip. If she can control things out in front she should be hard to run down.

GRAFFITI LANE (10) is first up into this race having done his racing in NSW. He appears to bring strong enough form into this race for a race of this nature and should be thereabouts if able to secure the right run into the race.

MAJOR SLIP UP (3) should be able to work forward and find a position up on speed in this race where he seems to do his best racing. He is a long way back in grade off some of his better form and is seemingly racing without a huge amount of luck at the moment.

THE HARRIS HAWK (5) ran on well into second three starts ago and hasn’t had the best of luck his latest two outings. The wide draw in this race is likely to see him shuffled back and should be running on late.

SELECTIONS: BOKHARI (1), GRAFFITI LANE (10), MAJOR SLIP UP (3), THE HARRIS HAWK (5)

SUGGESTED BET: BOKHARI (1) to win.

RACE 5

ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (6) has been in good form recently running consecutive placings his last two starts. He ran a good second last start at Albion Park in fast time which is likely to see him very hard to beat in a race of this nature if he can replicate that effort behind a horse that goes well at his best in Mullum Doc.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (9) is generally best suited when sat up and saved for one run which should see him suited by the back row draw in this race. He was running on nicely last start into second behind Man Of Action in moderate overall time which likely didn’t suit the run on horses.

AUNTY FRANCES (5) wasn’t suited two starts ago when sitting without cover at this track and fading late. She got back last start and was running on strongly into the placings. She can be running on well again in this race.

EXPLANATION NOTED (2) led last start and was well beaten when bumping into and in form horse in Candykane. She isn’t quite at her absolute best but is well graded if she can return to some of her better form.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (6), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (9), AUNTY FRANCES (5), EXPLANATION NOTED (2)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (9) to win.

RACE 6

ROCK HAMMER (6) has been a brilliant winner in his latest two outings rating brilliant time for the grade two starts ago winning over the 2138 at Albion Park in a 1.54 mile rate before dominating again last start despite doing all the work. He may get more respect this time and if he rolls to the front it’s hard to see them beating him.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3) took on a heat of The Peak Of The Creek where he finishing down the track in a strong race last time out. He looks better suited in this race and should be thereabouts if he can secure the right run in the race.

THE COOKIE MONSTER (1) has good gate speed and can likely dictate the early map. He may elect to zip out and sit on the likely favourite Rock Hamer and if he does that he should be well placed to run into the placings.

ONE LAST ROLL (7) should get a good run through on the back of The Cookie Monster. Despite his age he is still racing in terrific form and has two wins in his last five starts including a good win over the 2200 three starts ago at Marburg.

SELECTIONS: ROCK HAMMER (6), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3), THE COOKIE MONSTER (1), ONE LAST ROLL (7)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCK HAMMER (6) to win.

RACE 7

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (9) ran well two starts ago when finishing second at this track behind dominant winner Candykane. Since his latest start he has since trialled quite well and should be hard to hold out late if the race is run to suit.

ROLLONX (5) has very good early speed and was able to use that last start when sitting on the back of Hes Regal and running second. He should be able to get forward again in this race and on recent form looks one of the hardest to beat.

ROCCO VARIETY (8) is always running on late if he’s able to secure the right run. He was running on well late into third two starts ago. He finds a race there could a genuine early tempo which should see him running into it late.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (7) hasn’t been at his best in recent starts but should secure the right type of race in this race doing no work early. He should be thereabouts the placings if the gaps appear.

SELECTIONS: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (9), ROLLONX (5), ROCCO VARIETY (8), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (7)

SUGGESTED BET: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (9) to win.

RACE 8

TINTIN IN LOGAN (1) was able to run a good second to Diamantina Daisy two starts ago after leading at this track and trip. She looks likely to be able to lead again in this race and is seemingly racing well enough to take out a race of this nature.

LACEYS LASS (8) wasn’t suited last start when running on down the outside in a slowly run race. Despite not having placed in 11 starts she appears to be closing in on a maiden win and strikes a suitable race where she has drawn well.

MULLUM JUDITH (9) was closing in well on a maiden victory running a number of good placings at this track. She wasn’t suited last start sitting without cover in a race they went quickly early in a race taken out by Mighty Ideal.

TEN AND TWO (7) should get a good run through on the back of Tintin In Logan. His latest run was better than his debut run and he should be better again third up into this race.

SELECTIONS: TINTIN IN LOGAN (1), LACEYS LASS (8), MULLUM JUDITH (9), TEN AND TWO (7)

SUGGESTED BET: TINTIN IN LOGAN (1) to win.
