Form Analysis: Redcliffe December 5

RACE 1 

PRINCE JOY (1) has moderate early speed which appears somewhat of a query in a race where there appears to be an abundance of early speed. He does his best work when out in front and if he can do enough to lead in this race he should be hard to beat.

MIKIS JOE (9) was running on well last start when appearing to have his chance to run past Canadian Lass at this track. He should get a good run off the speed and will be relying on a genuine early tempo which could play out early. 

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (4) has excellent gate speed and may look to launch across at the start. She ran well last start getting into third behind Beer Money after obtaining an economical run on the pegs.

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (5) took on a strong mares race at this track which was taken out by Brookfields Beauty last start where she got back and made up good late ground. She is likely to get back again in this race and can be running into it late.

RACE 2 

RIBEIRO (1) has moderate gate speed and may be able drive through and lead this race which would see him the horse to beat. He hasn’t raced since October when finishing eighth behind Lulu Mae in fast time. 

HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3) is a capable sit sprinter and should get a good run off the speed again in this race. He was running on well last start into third and should be hard to hold out in this race if the race is run to suit. 

BETTORS MOON (4) has been racing in good form having won last start when running over the top late. She should be able to get up on speed in this race and from there can be hard to beat again.

PLATINUM JEWEL (8) was a winner when leading all the way over the 1780 at this track two start ago before having less luck last time out. She should get a good run whether she goes to the pegs or elects to stay in the running line.

RACE 3

LAZENA (4) has built nicely towards a win this time in and put in a particularly good run last start when running second to Our Ultimate Milly at Albion Park in good enough time for the grade. 

THE HARRIS HAWK (8) drew wide last start and was running on well late into third behind Major Slip Up who was able to score a dominant win. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit he can be getting into it late. 

ILLBEWATCHING (2) has good early speed and may look to press forward and hold a prominent position. He was able to bounce back last start when leading all the way and may look to do similar in this race. 

EBONY BELLE (1) has good gate speed and was able to lead last start and run third there. She should be able to lead and then has options from there.

SUGGESTED BET: LAZENA (4) to win.

RACE 4 

CHARLIE CHUCKLES (6) has put in two just moderate efforts in trials ahead of a race track return. He had been racing in better company prior to a long spell and if he can improve off his recent trials he should be thereabouts.

IMPERIOUS (4) may be able to press forward in this race and work to the lead past Mister Hart who is badly out of form. If he was able to lead a race of this nature he would likely be hard to run down. 

PERFECT FEELING (7) has been racing well recently without having been able to break through for a win. The draw appears to suit him well in this race allowing him time to balance up and settle early. He should be running on late. 

VERMONT (5) ran on strongly two starts ago into second behind Unit Forty One. She is likely to get back again from a wide draw in this race and can be running into it late.

SUGGESTED BET: CHARLIE CHUCKLES (6) to win.

RACE 5

SAINT MAHARG (2) has good early speed and should be able to zip to the lead and should be hard to run down from there. Hasn’t had a lot of luck in recent outings. He was just getting into it late two back behind mighty Ideal at this track.

ROCKNREASON (8) was making up late ground last start in a race taken out by Piccolo Diavolo. She should get a good run through early on the back of a gate speed horse and can be running on late. 

TINTIN IN LOGAN (9) led last start and was able to run second to Laceys Lass who had been working towards a win. She should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running on late. 

YANKEE ARK (6) requested to be made ODM ahead of a race track debut after a moderate trial. He is the half sibling of Arkuna who is the winner of 6 races. 

SELECTIONS: SAINT MAHARG (2), ROCKNREASON (8), TINTIN IN LOGAN (9), YANKEE ARK (6)

SUGGESTED BET: SAINT MAHARG (2) to win. 

RACE 6 

ROCK NIEN (2) has early speed and may look to press forward at the start of this race and look for the lead. He has been racing in good form and put in a really impressive effort when running second to Son Of A Shark in fast time at Albion Park after doing all the work.

THE TIGER ARMY (1) should be able to secure a good run just behind the speed in this race. He is often left to do plenty of work in his races given he doesn’t have a lot of gate speed.

ENGLISH DANCE (5) started from a wide draw last start and was making up good ground late to get into second. He draws wide again in this race and is likely to get back and be relying on a solid early tempo.

IDEAL ASSASSIN (6) has plenty of early speed but looks very unlikely to be able to cross from the wide outside draw at the 2040 start point. She has been racing well and has good speed which should allow her to be running into it late.

SUGGESTED BET: ROCK NIEN (2) to win.

RACE 7

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (4) put in a big effort two starts ago when being forced to work hard and only going down narrowly late. He then took on a stronger race last start which was taken out by Galvarino. 

WRITE ABOUT ANGUS (3) pressed forward last start and was forced to race in the breeze where he was only narrowly beaten. If he is able to press onto the lead in this race he should prove hard to run down.

TACKAS LAST DANCE (7) should get a good run through on the back of Priority Betting. She ran a good third three starts ago when finishing off well after getting a long way back in the run.

PRIORITY BETTING (1) is a 30 rater and has just 1 win from 84 starts but lands in the stable of Greg Franklin so first up is worth keeping safe.
