Form Analysis: Albion Park January 27

27 January 2026

RACE ONE

Faced with a 10m tape last start when safely away before taking cover, IGNITE (2) can utilise the front tape to his early advantage here. 6m from YSMIR two starts back when starting off this same mark, he has been thereabouts without snaring the breakthrough he can secure here.

 VOLTAIN (4)
is never too far from the action without winning out of turn. Best of the chasers last start behind the big winner NATTY PAGGER, she was 3m from YSMIR three starts back. Generally safely away and able to find position, she can be close enough to issue the challenge.

 INSTANT DELIGHT (10)
fit and at her best would be able to put them away off 30m. However, she is first up since November and that was only a two-start campaign. Can still run on this grade.

 MEGABAND (3)
was runner-up two starts back when making some metres in the closing stages along the passing lane. With the benefit of moving forward 10m from recent attempts, he has claims.

 SELECTIONS:
IGNITE (2), VOLTAIN (4), INSTANT DELIGHT (10), MEGABAND (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IGNITE (2) to win

RACE TWO

Runner-up at her past three starts, the conditions look right for IMANI (2) to take another step up the podium for the top medal. Sitting parked last start, she was mighty game, finishing just a head from the winner. Making a late raid the start prior, she can be handy enough to take this.

 OHANA DANCER (5)
was first up for the new stable last time out when eased from gate 6 before producing some tidy closing panels on the way home to be 6m astern of the winner HOLD ONYO YA BLING. With added benefit from the outing and small field, she can throw it down.

 BETTOR CHEER (1)
has secured a decent alley just once in six starts since arriving in Qld. That was from this same gate when under 3m from RESILIENT. He can be chiming in late to feature.

 JEKAMIAS (7)
is given no favours from this gate but ran on well here on Saturday night when grabbing the bronze behind HOT ROD HARRY. The smaller field will assist his podium claims.

SELECTIONS: IMANI (2), OHANA DANCER (5), BETTOR CHEER (1), JEKAMIAS (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
IMANI (2) to win

RACE THREE

Supporting horses at their first standing start can be a risk but a safe start should be all FACT FINDER (4) needs to cash in on his first try, Stepping smartly to qualify from the tapes, he has since scored a strong first up victory at the mobile mile and he can add another dimension to his skillset here.

 SEND IT (7)
has been runner-up at his past two starts since gaining the lift back to the 20m for these standing start events. Sent around to face the breeze for at least the last 1000 in each of those, he chased hard when 6m from FINAL DEADLINE and then last week was just a half-head away. He will throw it down again.

 ARKIN WICKED (1)
settled 3rd as the field worked into single file last time out before making a move at the 1200 to work to the front. Holding down 3rd some 15m from the winner, he has place claims again.

 QUADDIE VC (6)
was a winner over the mobile 2138 two starts back when finding the front and dictating. Missing the money at these conditions last start behind subsequent winner FINAL DEADLINE, he can feature in this.

 SELECTIONS:
FACT FINDER (4), SEND IT (7), ARKIN WICKED (1), QUADDIE VC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FACT FINDER (4) to win

RACE FOUR

In what appears a tricky race to assess with many having questionable stats on the big deck, MAGICOL IDEAL (1) might just secure the options to cash in. Striking trouble in the run last start, he was trying to make ground on the passing lane the start prior at Redcliffe. This looks a race within reach.

 AMILLIONCHANCES (3)
faced an inside second line gate last time out when buried in the run and never getting a shot at them. A gritty 3rd at Redcliffe the start prior, he has placed in three of his past four and despite his AP numbers appearing barren, he might just be able to change that.

 MULLUM DOC (5)
faced a second line gate last time out and was making good metres in the closing stages to grab the silver behind ROCKTIME. He may need to be working here.

 CANDYKANE (9)
is still chasing a victory here at HQ after 11 previous attempts have come up short. A Redcliffe winner two starts back in a string effort, she can be thereabouts in this line up.

SELECTIONS: MAGICOL IDEAL (1), AMILLIONCHANCES (3), MULLUM DOC (5), CANDYKANE (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MAGICOL IDEAL (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Finally snaring an Albion Park breakthrough here four days back, TOMMY BLIGH (2) can go back-to-back and make it two in a week. Taking them all the way with his victory, it had followed a 3rd after setting the tempo. He has the gate to dictate.

 LA BOMBA (9)
started from gate 2 last time out when finding the pocket trail but had no run on when finishing out of the money behind LITTLELIONELJAMES. Runner-up three starts back when 2m from the winner, she can trail through early and look to make a closing play to challenge.

 VODKA EN ICE (5)
has had three runs back from a spell and drawn wide in each. Despite another awkward gate, the added fitness can see him thereabouts.

 LA SABINA (6)
eased from gate 7 last time before hitting the line strongly to grab the silver behind THE HARRIS HAWK. Running on the start prior in good order, look for her late.

SELECTIONS: TOMMY BLIGH (2), LA BOMBA (9), VODKA EN ICE (5), LA SABINA (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
TOMMY BLIGH (2) to win

RACE SIX

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5) made the most of conditions last start when firing off the arm to take control and take then all the way over the 2138. Strong to the line when 3rd behind MERRY JEWEL two starts back, he can get forward here and finds the right conditions to repeat the W.

 DIEGO DELGADO (8)
rolled forward from a second line gate here two starts back and despite working hard in the run, put the nose out on the wire to scire. With a soft trip in behind the speed, he will be needing some luck and openings, but can be issuing the challenge.

 SPORTS BOUNTY (4)
has hit the board in three of his past five, the latest when exposed early before cover arrived when holding on for the bronze behind LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN. He can be close again here.

 HATTIES JEWEL (2)
has good hustle off the arm and from this gate can secure a forward position. Chasing home behind ROCK IT BABY last start at Redcliffe, she can feature here.

 SELECTIONS:
BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5), DIEGO DELGADO (8), SPORTS BOUNTY (4), HATTIES JEWEL (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Sent to the post as the fav last time out at Redcliffe, DEE TERROR (9) was trying to find space when 5m from the winner BARRETT. Placed in both prior starts when faced with second line barriers, he lands another one out the back, but the tempo looks right for him to descend on them.

 MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (8)
has placed at his past two and looks to have worked his way back into some better form. Making a late raid after starting from the second line last start, he was beaten a blister here two starts back when attacking the line. Tucked away, he will be searching for a way clear to challenge.

 DOOO DONT THINK (1)
maps for the soft trip in behind the speed where he can be a player. Strong to the line last start when 4m astern of the winner, he can be probing the gaps.

 SII SEMPRE TILLY (3)
released last start in a mare’s qualifier after finding the front but could not make a late play when out of the money. Striking trouble the start prior, she can be forward to feature in this.

 SELECTIONS:
DEE TERROR (9), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (8), DOOO DONT THINK (1), SII SEMPRE TILLY (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
 DEE TERROR (9) to win
