Form Analysis: Marburg January 26

RACE 1 

SINKRATE (1) has gate speed and should be able to press forward and hold a prominent position in this race. He led last start and was just run down late behind Tiger Attack at Redcliffe when finishing third. He had every chance to win there but shouldn’t find this any tougher. 

TAKING STOCK (3) has shown good gate speed while also showing a tendency to do a few things wrong. He made a break in his latest race start before making another break in a recent trial. He will need to bring his best manners to be a hope in this race.

HEEZ OUR PLAYBOY (5) was first up from a spell last start when well beaten at this track behind Laneys Last in what was a relatively strong maiden. He since hasn’t started for over a month which appears a query. He looks hard to beat.

ALONG THE WAY (7) put in a solid effort last start when not beaten too far behind Tiger Attack. Has options from the good draw in this race and should be thereabouts again.

RACE 2 

TARIFF TIME (1) trialled just fairly recently at Albion Park when finishing last. She has the good draw at a track which draws are very important. If she can hold a forward position she should be in the finish. 

IM HERE TO PARTY (6) copped a flat tyre last start and was pulled out of the race as a result. He led a stronger race two starts ago and was beaten a long way but was probably a solid enough run for a race like this. 

SATURDAY DANCE (2) was a winner two starts ago when burning hard to find the front and leading all the way. She then got back last start and made no impression when finishing last. If she could lead she might be able to bounce back.

ROCKNROLL KNIGHT (8) ran well last start to finish midfield in a race that became a dash home taken out by Swifite. Should be better suited in what looks a moderate race.

RACE 3

THE REAL ROCKETMAN (4) seemed to have every chance when leading and fading out of it last start at Albion Park when seemingly a touch disappointing. He finds another race where he might be able to press forward and lead again. With an easy run in front he would be hard to beat.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (8) has poor numerical form coming into this race. He was well beaten last start by Aunty Frances wen securing a decent run on the pegs. He is likely better suited over the short journeys and can bounce back.

MY ULTIMATE RUDI (9) worked hard early to get across to the pegs before handing over the Tommy Bligh. He battled on well enough in that race to suggest he should be quite hard to beat in this company if the race is run to suit.

SIGNOR JUJON (7) has been in poor form and will need to improve to be a chance of figuring. His effort four starts ago when second to Take Courage was good enough to be a hope of earning in a race of this nature.

RACE 4 

MULLUM BOY (1) comes into this first up from a spell having trialled quire well in a recent trial. He wasn’t beaten too far behind Nite Irene and Vinsanity in that trial which looks solid form for a race of this nature. He has gate speed and may be worth another go first up from a spell.

LOUISE LUCK (5) did things wrong last start at Redcliffe when well beaten. Appears to be quite a consistent horse and despite drawing widest looks to have found a suitable level of race where she can be very competitive. 

EBONY BELLE (8) was able to lead all the way last start at Redcliffe on Thursday in a restricted wins race. She seems to do her best work when able to find a position up on speed which looks a touch tricky from the poor draw. 

STONES (9) was well beaten last start in a race taken out by Fancy Like Barbie. Draws poorly in this race but it does look a race without a huge amount of depth and he may have minor place claims.

SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM BOY (1) to win.

RACE 5

DOOLITTLE DAYS (2) has good gate speed and should be able to press forward and find a prominent position. If she can lead in this race around Marburg she is likely to be quite hard to run down. 

GIDUP CAPTAIN (9) looks suited on class in this race but draws poorly as a result and seemingly struggles around the bends in his races. He comes into this race third up from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness. 

COPY WRITER (4) ran well last start in a stronger race behind Well Said Nugget at Redcliffe over the 1780. She has gate speed but seemingly isn’t a horse that can make her own luck and generally seems to be best leasding or with a sit. 

ROCCO VARIETY (7) is a capable sit sprinter. He was well beaten last start in a stronger race when sitting leaders back and dropping out of it late. He should secure a softer run off the speed this time and can be hard to beat as a result.

SUGGESTED BET: DOOLITTLE DAYS (2) to win. 

RACE 6 

THE CASUAL GOOSE (1) has moderate gate speed and was crossed recently from this draw when starting a short priced favourite. She will need to begin better in this race to make the most of the favourable draw. If she could drive through and lead she would be hard to run down.

IDEAL TIGER (6) should get a good run through on the back of a runner that is likely to be keen to hold a forward position in this race. He didn’t have much luck last start when racing off the pegs last start at Albion Park and with a more favourable run should be hard to hold out.

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (9) scored another good win last time out when obtaining a trail early behind Our Dolly and finishing off best to score over the 2040. She draws outside the back row this time and may need to do plenty of work.

ROYAL WINKLE (8) has shown improvement in recent outings winning three starts ago before running third last start when running on late. He was well beaten two starts ago but isn’t suited leading over the 2040.

SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL TIGER (6) each way.

RACE 7

BEER MONEY (3) has very good gate speed and should be able to work to the front in this race. Last time he led he scored well over the 2040 at Redcliffe and seems to be a much better horse when he can find the pegs. 

DANCIN WITH LUSH (1) has gate speed and should be able to hold a position before handing over to a more favoured runner. She is a capable sit sprinter and could be suited in this race getting a soft run. 

LITTLEMICKEY (7) scored after securing a good run on the leaders back on Thursday at Redcliffe. He has been in good form and will be looking to complete a hat-trick of wins in this race. He is suited to being sat up and saved for one run at them late. 

SPLASHNDASH (5) seems to do his best racing around the bigger track at Albion Park. He has run well before at this track and if the tempo suits he can be running on late.
