Form Analysis: Redcliffe January 28

RACE 1 

GLENLEDI BOY (7) broke through for a well deserved victory four starts ago when coming from back in the field to win at Marburg. He has since run well and scored again last time out coming from a long way back in a race that was run to suit and proving a touch too good. Should get a good run through early and can be hard to hold out.

BARRETT (1) was able to lead easily last time out and scored a nice win leading all the way when well rated out in front. He appears to find a race of similar quality here but does look to be a bit more speed off the front row. 

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (2) secured a good run last start and ran on strongly late into second. He put in a very good run two back when breezing and battling on into the placings. 

IDEAL ASSASSIN (3) has excellent gate speed but does draw outside of a few gate speed horses. She was able to bounce back into form last start when scoring over the unlucky Mikis Joe.

RACE 2 

NAUTIE GALVINATOR (2) has good gate speed and may be able to work forward to the lead in this race. He led three starts ago and rated good time there in what was seemingly a much stronger race than this one. Should be hard to run down.

CHAMONIX (5) should get a good run off the speed in this race. He ran a good third two starts ago when making a long run wide on the track behind Rock Nien. He will be hard to hold out if the race is run to suit.

ROLLING BONUS (9) didn’t have the best of luck last time out when attempting to run on from off the speed at this track. He ran a good third his start prior and appears to find another suitable race. 

BEV THE GOAT (1) is badly out of form and is hard to recommend on recent efforts. She sat leaders back last time out dropped out of it to run a clear last having done a few things wrong before and during the race. Her best is good enough and she draws favourably.

RACE 3

ROCK IT BABY (5) worked to the breeze last start and scored an impressive win when pulling away from them late. He looks to have found another race where he can likely work to the breeze cheaply enough and from there he is going to prove hard to beat again.

ILLBEWATCHING (2) has good gate speed and should be able to work to the lead in the early stages. He was able to lead and win recently after working very hard in the early stages of the race. With an easier lead this time he looks a strong chance. 

JET FORCE (4) drew poorly last start and ran on strongly into a midfield finish. He should be able to secure a good run in this race just off the speed and can be running on late.

ONE CHAIN ROAD (3) has excellent gate speed and should be able to put himself in a prominent position in the race. He finished close up last start in third behind Oyster Stride over the 2040 and should appreciate the step back to the 1780.

RACE 4 

LAST CALL (5) had been out of form prior to a good last start third. She comes into this race fourth up from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness. She generally does her best work when able to secure a soft run without having done too much in the early stages which could prove tricky from gate 5. 

IMPERIOUS (3) has previously done his best work when able to get out in front in his races. He hasn’t been able to find the front since his last win but does find a race which looks like he might be able to lead and would prove hard to beat.

MALIBU DREAM (6) she scored a big win five starts ago when running on over the top late from what looked a near impossible position turning for home. She took on a stronger race last start and should find this easier.

SHES BEWITCHED (2) has very good gate speed and might be able to zip across before having options. She was well beaten last start but could secure a better run this time.

RACE 5

TACTICAL ILLUSION (2) trialled sharply behind the very smart Strikem when finishing third. She has good gate speed and should be able to work to the lead in this race. She is likely to have derived benefit from the recent trials and should be fitter.

BLING THE NOISE (1) looks likely to secure a good run just behind the speed in this race. He wasn’t favoured last start when doing some work in the early stages over the 2040 at this track. He is likely to be much better suited on the pegs and back to the 1780.

HES MY REASON (4) draws awkwardly in this race having been able to lead his past two outings. He will likely look to press forward again in this race and with the right run looks a good chance in this race. 

CHEEKY BABY (7) should get a good run through on the back of Bling The Noise and generally seems to do her best work following a helmet. If the runs appear at the right time she should be running into the money.

RACE 6 

THE LUVBUG (2) won well last start despite doing a few things wrong when beating Fifty Each Way. He draws much more favourably this time and has very good gate speed. If he can find the front he should prove hard to run down.

OUR ULTIMATE MILLY (3) led and handed over last start to Moonshiner over the 2138 at Albion Park and was able to battle away well there for fifth given the fast mile rate for this grade. She draws awkwardly with gate speed to her inside this time which could make things tricky.

TWEEDY (9) has been a touch disappointing in recent outings when well favoured in the market and unable to get into the money. She did run into a good third three starts ago at Albion Park behind La Mistress.

LUVN OSMAN (4) did well to get into third last time out at Albion Park behind Llanfair Llewellan. He has done most of his recent racing at Albion Park and makes the move back to Redcliffe which he may find suitable.

RACE 7

CHERRIES ON TOP (10) drew poorly last start outside the front row and was a long way off them turning for home before making up good ground late when running into third. She looks well placed in this race and should be hard to beat.

DIAMANTINA DAISY (9) was left without cover last time out at this track in a race the winner Wicked De Lil rated good time. She lands a soft trailing draw in this race and should get a more economical run.

TIGER SHIRL (8) put in a big run her last race start when making up a lot of ground in a race taken out by Monopolliie. She has since had a break and returns in this race where she looks well graded.

NEEDAREASON (6) draws poorly outside the front row but did return last start with a good third at Albion Park and looks to have each way claims in this race. He is likely to have derived benefit from the first up outing and should be fitter in this race.

RACE 8

ZEEZEEZOOM (3) trialled up nicely behind Dramas in a recent trial at Albion Park where they zipped home a quick last half. She draws the best of what appear the main chances in this race and she can look to hold that advantage in the early stages. 

NITE IRENE (9) trialled up smartly when beating much higher assessed Vinsanity. If she can run up to her trial form she will be very hard to beat in this race despite drawing worse than her main rivals.

WAR ZONE (4) trialled moderately recently when winning at this track. He is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and can look to make the step up again in this race despite drawing awkwardly. 

THREEOEIGHT (1) led last start and was just beaten by the horse that was able to jump onto his back in that race. This maiden looks a lot tougher and he is likely just a player for the minor money this time.
