Form Analysis: Albion Park May 28

28 May 2026

RACE ONE

The first 2YO only trot of the season in Qld where manners are always the most important factor, The Tim Gillespie trained POZZI TONOZZI (1) is a daughter of Classic Connection and has been clean in her trials. From the inside lane can look to start her career on the right note.

 HARPERS FERRY (5)
is a Muscle M Up gelding for Keith Gillies and is the first foal of a dam that produced five wins on the track. With some tidy efforts in readiness for the debut, he stays under notice.

 MOUNT JULIET (2)
is a What The Hill Kiwi bred filly for Trent Lethaby that followed POZZI TONOZZI every step in a recent trial. Similar tactics might just be the tonic here.

SELECTIONS: POZZI TONOZZI (1), HARPERS FERRY (5), MOUNT JULIET (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

An open trot where several of these have been struggling with manners in recent appearances. Trotting cleanly at his past two outings ITZ TRIXTON TIME (9) has grabbed minor money in each, the latest when 5m from the winner IGNITE. With the right trip, he might be the one.

 CROOKWELL EYES (4)
backs up from Tuesday where he was safely away to find fence line cover. Losing all momentum behind a tiring runner before finding space to finish midfield, this is an easier assignment and finding the right spot can see him issue a challenge.

 MULLUM DALE (2)
is forced to give plenty of experience to his rivals here as he makes just his third career appearance and just second this season. Runner-up on debut behind AJAY VOLSTEAD over two years ago, he produced a smart trial last week.

 CASCATA (11)
finished midfield last start under mobile conditions when under 8m from the winner INSTANT DELIGHT. A winner at these same conditions three back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS:
ITZ TRIXTON TIME (9), CROOKWELL EYES (4), SQUAMISH (7), CASCATA (11)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ITZ TRIXTON TIME (9) to win

RACE THREE

Unplaced in two runs since arriving in Qld, the efforts of ROMAN CHARLIE (1) have had merit. Not too far from the talented ALWAYS B COOL, a sub 54 closing half made it impossible for the chasers second-up behind MOVE IT LOU. This is much easier and he lands the ace.

 BETTOR BE BODHI (8)
faces a third successive inside second line gate in a season where he has hit the board in four of six. Trying to make a late raid when grabbing the bronze behind CHECKINGOUTTHEBILL two starts back, he can stalk the speed to issue a challenge.

 RANGER RON (9)
should appreciate a drop to this level after fading out behind the smart IDEAL BRONSKI last time in a Breeders Heat. Returning from a spell with the W, he can chime in here.

 RAINBOW FEELS (4)
has hit the board in all four career starts to date and will take her first look at HQ here. Runner-up to KEAYANG KAUNA last start, she can get handy and be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ROMAN CHARLIE (1), BETTOR BE BODHI (8), RANGER RON (9), RAINBOW FEELS (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ROMAN CHARLIE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Starting from this same gate last start, LEOTA (7) eased for position to find the fence before making a late play top grab a distant 3rd as BEROCCA BERNIE was too classy. A passing lane winner here three starts back, despite the wide gate, he can breakfree of the Pathway system.

 VIENNA OPERA (8)
has been runner-up at her past two starts, the latest when setting the tempo but grabbed in the closing stages over the Redcliffe 1780.Gunned down two starts back by CALL IT BLING, she will be searching for the openings to challenge here.

 UCANCALLME AL (10)
forced the issue at Redcliffe two starts back and taking control was able to pull clear to a 6m winning margin. 7m away last time, he can be joining in here.

 MISTER FREEMAN (6)
finished just behind the placed runners last start as BEROCCA BERNIE carved out a big win at 2138. Runner-up to MIKI MOO two starts back, the gate stings.

SELECTIONS: LEOTA (7), VIENNA OPERA (8), UCANCALLME AL (10), MISTER FREEMAN (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

TILLY DUNNAGE (3) is unbeaten in two attempts here at The Creek, the latest when controlling from the front and posting a 4m margin. Grinding out victory when first up, she has shown that she has the speed and although a Pathway graded horse, rises to tackle this assignment.

 MIKI MOO (9)
overcame the second line at Redcliffe two starts back when making a strong challenge from back in the pack to arrive and take a 4m margin. Buried from inside the second line last start, she was under 5m from the winner and against mares only here can challenge.

 THE LADY DIOR (5)
found the poles before taking cover last start and was under 2m from the winner RAKASANDY at 2138. Back to her own sex, she looms as a podium player here.

 LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (1)
tackled a second division mare’s qualifier two starts back and with the perfect trip in the trail, darted through on the lane to score. A similar trip should present.

SELECTIONS: TILLY DUNNAGE (3), MIKI MOO (9), THE LADY DIOR (5), LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
TILLY DUNNAGE (3) to win

RACE SIX

Unbeaten in two starts since returning in a season with some much bigger targets, FATE AWAITS (6) should have little trouble in making it three from three for the term. Pulling clear in the closing stages last start to post a 14m margin with effortless ease, this looks like a case of times and margins please judge.

 RUBY RULES (2)
closed off 2025 with a huge win over CHEERSTOLOU at the mile. Resuming with a gritty 3rd from gate 6 in a sub 55 last 800, she was large last start with a 15m win from the second line at 2138 when working home strongly. With an improved gate, she looks the exacta.

 SALLY BIGTIME (3)
was chasing three on the bounce last time out when sent out as the fav from gate 6. Forced to work in the middle stages in finishing unplaced, she can chase minor money.

 PUNTERS JEWEL (9)
claimed a qualifying win last start when finishing over the top in the closing stages to post a narrow margin. With the right trail through early, he has minor claims.

SELECTIONS: FATE AWAITS (6), RUBY RULES (2), SALLY BIGTIME (3), PUNTERS JEWEL (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 6 / 2 / F

RACE SEVEN

IN great form since joining the Donohoe barn, BELMER BETTY (8) has won three of her past four starts, the latest when easing away from the inside in the closing stages to descend upon them. Mapping for the soft trip in behind the speed, she can charge through again here.

 SPLASHNDASH (7)
is afforded no favours from the gate but his past three have been in much stronger company than he meets here. Finding the right conditions to cash in here five starts back, he was then beaten a head at Marburg after working. Despite the gate, he can challenge.

 ONE CHAIN ROAD (1)
has early speed and from the inside gate should be looking to fend them off with an all the way attempt. Gunned down last start at 2138, he will be gripping on.

 LETS GO BAILEY (5)
prevailed over the mile three back when pressing to the front from gate 4 and posting a 7m margin. Midfield and faced with the second line in both subsequent runs, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: BELMER BETTY (8), SPLASHNDASH (7), ONE CHAIN ROAD (1), LETS GO BAILEY (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BELMER BETTY (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

With good speed off the arm, FRANCO MACHO (5) can look to establish an early position which will then present options thereafter. Dictating from the front to score at the mile two starts back, he grabbed the bronze last start. Forcing the issue early can see him capitalise here.

 JUST A COOL DUDE (8)
was a Redcliffe winner two starts back when darting through on the passing lane to score. Making a late raid last time out when runner-up to CEDAR CREEK FALLS, he will be searching for the gaps but can be issuing a closing challenge.

 COSMIC FLYER (10)
was snookered on the poles last start and when finding space, worked home to be 4m from the winner RAKASANDY. With the right trip, look for him joining in late.

 I OF THE HURRIKANE (12)
is still chasing her first win since arriving in the Sunshine State. Placed in four of six on this deck, she was 2m from SCRUFFY two starts back and can chime in.

SELECTIONS: FRANCO MACHO (5), JUST A COOL DUDE (8), COSMIC FLYER (10), I OF THE HURRIKANE (12)
 SUGGESTED BET:
FRANCO MACHO (5) to win

RACE NINE

Interesting contest at the mile here with three last start Trot Rod winners to do battle. FIRE RAISER (7) is chasing a hat-trick after securing a qualifying win at 2138 and backing that up with a win over the 947 when swooping in the stretch. Despite the tough gate, he can cash in.

 MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (1)
rolled forward and made the most of the difference in class to score over the 947 one lap sizzle last week at Redcliffe. Chasing home for the bronze behind PRETTY LITTLE LIAR the start prior, the gate is a huge plus and with options at hand can throw it down.

 HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3)
rallied strongly in the stretch to arrive in the best time of the series for the Trot Rods in the final heat. Strong to the line from gate 6 the start prior, he can feature.

 BEYOND DOUBT (6)
has been kept fresh since the last appearance when finishing at the rear but not that far from the winner THE RASCAL. Winning consecutive Bathurst appearances to start his season, he can join in here.

SELECTIONS: FIRE RAISER (7), MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (1), HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3), BEYOND DOUBT (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Returning from a spell in sparkling fashion, RAKASANDY (9) overcame the outside second line at 2138 to claim a strong first up victory. Sent on an early move to take control and fend them off, the 3YO term of 2025 ended with a dominant win and he finds conditions for the threepeat.

 JUSTA DRAGON (1)
started from inside the second line last time out in his first run back in Qld this pilgrimage. Shuffled three back and then needing the gap sooner when finishing 8m from the winner PUNTERS JEWEL, he can be closer to the action this time to issue a challenge.

 SMARTER THAN YOU (8)
was sent out as the fav last time out at the mile and from the trail needed a gap to open sooner when holding 3rd behind HAPPY AS CAN BE. He will be probing.

 FLYING COLOURS (2)
settled in the 1x1 trail last time out and when set free was runner-up and 1m astern of the winner PUTNERS JEWEL. Snagged back two starts ago, he has claims here.

SELECTIONS: RAKASANDY (9), JUSTA DRAGON (1), SMARTER THAN YOU (8), FLYING COLOURS (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
RAKASANDY (9) to win

RACE ELEVEN

The small field helps to somewhat nullify the wide gate that OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (6) has to negotiate here. Locked away on the inside last start, he chased home to grab silver behind the speedster FERNCO NEL. Placed in four of six on this deck, he can add the W to the figures.

 MY ULTIMATE FLYNN (3)
has been runner-up in all three starts since returning from a spell. Finding the pocket trail last start and running the winner MEGS BOY to a pimple margin, the start prior he was strong in the closing stages from deep field. Versatility in a small field is a big asset.

 ALWAYS BE CHAPS (2)
was first up for the new barn when overcoming a second line gate to secure a qualifying victory in strong time at 2138. With added fitness, he looms large in this.

 CHARGE AHEAD (4)
was chasing three on the bounce here three starts back when fading to the rear as COOL NIGHT scored. Unplaced in both subsequent appearances, this is the right set up to bounce back.

SELECTIONS: OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (6), MY ULTIMATE FLYNN (3), ALWAYS BE CHAPS (2), CHARGE AHEAD (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (6) to win
