RACE 1

SPLASH OF PAYNT (1) may have gone too quickly last start in the early stages of the final Trot Rods heat in an attempt to break the fastest time when getting very tired late and was picked up by Hold Onto Ya Bling. He is stepping back up to the 1780 having taken on two Trot Rods races recently so he will need to settle over the slightly longer journey.

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (7) was first up from a spell last time out when getting a long way back in a slowly run race before hitting the line well. He should get a good run through behind the likely leader and will be hard to hold out late second up.

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (8) has bounced back to some of his better form after seemingly racing below his best last campaign. He scored a dominant win last time out at Redcliffe over the 947 a distance which he seems to love racing at.

TRALEE SNICKA (3) got back last start and was running on late in a race the winner Majorita Jujon rated fast time. He should settle closer this time in a race that looks a touch easier.

SELECTIONS: SPLASH OF PAYNT (1), MY ULTIMATE MARIO (7), BLACKJACK CRIPPA (8), TRALEE SNICKA (3)

SUGGESTED BET: SPLASH OF PAYNT (1) to win.

RACE 2

ZAC DANIELS (6) draws wide in this race but appears a clear standout on class and can look to press forward and take up the lead in the early stages. He led in a recent trial and ran out a dominant winner scoring by 27.3 metres over Just Pinny.

CHAMONIX (10) drew wide last start getting a long way back before running into it late once the race was over into fourth. He should appreciate the step back up the 2040 in this race and would appreciate a more genuine early tempo.

TIGER TOMMY (1) was a winner four starts ago running on best over this track and trip. She should get a good run in this race from the ideal draw and looks likely to get every chance.

LENNY LINCOLN (7) led over the trot rods distance of 947 last time out and was just run down in the concluding stages. He should get a good run through in this race and if the gaps come at the right time he should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ZAC DANIELS (6), CHAMONIX (10), TIGER TOMMY (1), LENNY LINCOLN (7)

SUGGESTED BET: ZAC DANIELS (6) to win.

RACE 3

ROLLYARRRZ (1) didn’t have things go his way last start when working early before being shuffled back. He seems to do his best work when able to find the front in his races and should be able to run a better race out in front.

WAR CLUB (7) should get a good run through on the back of Rollyarrrz. He has bounced back to better form in recent outings scoring a good win four starts ago when leading all the way. He should get every chance from a good draw.

BOLZANO (8) has previously raced in QLD and has raced well. Hit the line strongly three starts ago behind Alta Downs at Bathurst when held up on the pegs in behind them. He should get an economical run off the speed in the early stages and should be running on late.

REASON TO PARTY (3) ran well last start to finish second to Parkes behind Hazza Is watching. He draws a touch awkwardly but should be too far away and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: ROLLYARRRZ (1), WAR CLUB (7), BOLZANO (8), REASON TO PARTY (3)

SUGGESTED BET: WAR CLUB (7) each way.

RACE 4

STILLYOURSHOT (2) has good gate speed and can look to press forward and find the lead in this race. He wasn’t suited last time out when drawing wide in a Trot Rods heat and having little luck when finishing a close up fourth beaten just 1.9 metres. He should be hard to beat.

MARY ANNE ROSE (1) had no luck last time out when finishing eighth behind Majorita Jujon after being dragged out of contention by a tiring runner. She should get a similar run behind a horse that should get her into the race.

SPORTY ZARA (7) should get a reasonable run through in the early stages. She had no luck last start when being shuffled a long way back before running on well into fifth. She should be a touch closer this time.

FAKISTRA (3) led last time out over the trot rods journey and just got a touch tired late after working hard early. He should be able to work across into a prominent position and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: STILLYOURSHOT (2), MARY ANNE ROSE (1), SPORTY ZARA (7), FAKISTRA (3)

SUGGESTED BET: STILLYOURSHOT (2) to win.

RACE 5

FIFTY THREE STARS (6) got a long way back two starts ago and was able to run home best to score at Dubbo. He moves up to QLD for the first time in this race and is having his first start for Phoebe Betts. He draws widest but does look well placed in a race of this nature.

BETTINGONYA (4) was able to found the front last time out when well beaten by Magic Matteo. He hasn’t since changed trainers and is having his first start in QLD. He has gate speed but does draw outside a number of horses with very good early speed.

GRIGORA (9) ran a much better race last time out when getting into second late behind Smirks Lika Boss. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and if its run to suit he should be thereabouts late.

LA BOMBA (1) led and got keen last time out over racing badly over the 2040 and getting a touch tired late. She steps back to the 1780 this time and is likely to have derived benefit from her latest outing. She can run a better race this time.

SELECTIONS: FIFTY THREE STARS (6), BETTINGONYA (4), GRIGORA (9), LA BOMBA (1)

SUGGESTED BET: LA BOMBA (1) each way.

RACE 6

MOVE HEAVENNEARTH (3) trialled up nicely enough recently when getting a long way back and running on late. He has good gate speed and should be able to press forward and race in a prominent position.

LUVN OSMAN (9) started favourite last time out at Albion Park and couldn’t quite get into the placings there in a race taken out by Whykikamoocow. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running on late.

SCHOONERS (4) raced without luck last time out when held up at a crucial stage before finishing off well into third. She started her QLD racing career well when winning nicely at this track first up two starts ago. She should run well again.

FRENCH FLEUR (1) has previously shown good enough gate speed to hold a position early before having options. She got back last start and flashed home late to run fourth.

SELECTIONS: MOVE HEAVENNEARTH (3), LUVN OSMAN (9), SCHOONERS (4), FRENCH FLEUR (1)

SUGGESTED BET: SCHOONERS (4) to win.

RACE 7

ERASMUS (2) didn’t quite show enough gate speed to hold them out early and was left without cover as a result. He put in a huge run to finish second battling away for a close up second. He should have the speed to drive through and lead this time and if he leads he is likely to be very hard to run down.

ILLBEWATCHING (3) he had no luck last time out when shuffled back by a tiring runner before hitting the line strongly late. He should be able to find a prominent position from a good draw and will be hard to beat.

MISTER DELWIN (5) was left without cover last time out at Redcliffe in a heat of the Trot Rods battling on well to not be beaten far. He may be forced to work at some stage or could be shuffled a long way back early.

THREE MACHS (4) secured a good run behind Playful miss last time out and was running on well late into second. She is likely to be shuffled a touch further back off the speed and will need the race run to suit to bring her into it.

SELECTIONS: ERASMUS (2), ILLBEWATCHING (3), MISTER DELWIN (5), THREE MACHS (4)

SUGGESTED BET: ERAMUS (2) to win.

RACE 8

STRAIGHTNNARROW (2) led two starts ago at Dubbo and was able to score a nice win. He has since had a spell and ran well enough first up last time out finishing second at Young. He should be hard to beat.

GOOD LOOKING JUJON (3) is having her first start for the stable of Matt Elkins. She has good early speed and should be able to find a prominent position in the run. If she can recapture her better form she can run well.

PRESCOTT (5) looks likely to be shuffled back in the early stages from a wide draw. He ran well two starts ago into fourth behind Denis The Punter. He will likely need a genuine early tempo to bring him into the race.

LETS SCRAP (4) showed ability last time in running well against stronger company. He has trialled a number of times and has seemingly improved each trial. He should run well.

SELECTIONS: STRAIGHTNNARROW (2), GOOD LOOKING JUJON (3), PRESCOTT (5), LETS SCRAP (4)

SUGGESTED BET: STRAIGHTNNARROW (2) to win.

RACE 9

QUICK SHAVE (6) has been thereabouts recently in stronger races at Albion Park including two starts ago when finishing third behind Duke Of Argyll. His latest trial when finishing third behind Beachbabe Crocker in good time looks a strong form reference for a race of this nature.

SOCIAL OUTING (4) was forced to race without cover last time out when finishing third to Macgyva at this track and trip. He is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and should be able to press forward and race in a prominent position in this race.

SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (3) worked forward early last start before being shuffled back a touch in the race before hitting the line well running second to Wave Of Delight. He doesn’t have a lot of gate speed but should settle close enough and can run well again.

HAALAND (5) raced without luck at this track and trip last time out being checked at a crucial stage. He may be shuffled back early and can be looking to run on late.

SELECTIONS: QUICK SHAVE (6), SOCIAL OUTING (4), SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (3), HAALAND (5)

SUGGESTED BET: QUICK SHAVE (6) to win.
