Form Analysis: Albion Park June 2

2 June 2026

RACE ONE

The small field of six to contest this mobile trot where IGNITE (5) look to secure the right set up for another victory. A winner three back from behind the tapes, he was buried in the run at his next start and hit the line soundly behind INSTANT DELIGHT. This looks well within reach.

 CASCATA (1)
was a winner four starts back when overcoming a 20m impost and finishing best to take a 4m margin. Making a mess of it last time when the tapes released and ending any chance, with the options from the inside gate, she can issue a challenge.

 DAIMYO (6)
resumes from a spell and was given a pipe-opening trial in readiness for the return. Just plateauing reaching the end of his last campaign, he finds the perfect return conditions.

SELECTIONS: IGNITE (5), CASCATA (1), DAIMYO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: IGNITE (5) to win

RACE TWO

Coming off big handicaps in recent appearances from the stand start, INSTANT DELIGHT (1) moves to a front tape under these conditions which appear ideal. Her 3rd off 50m behind NORTHERN HEIGHTS three starts back was strong and with mobile win two back, she can capitalise here.

 DHONI TROUBLE (2)
faced a 30m tape last start and after being safely into stride, engaged attack mode and made a move to get forward and take control. Fending off the challengers in claiming a 7m margin, a move to the front tape can see him throw it down in this line up.

 DARCYS FIREBALL (8)
has hit the board at his past three starts, the latest when chasing home for the bronze behind subsequent winner IKIGAI. Runner-up off this tape the start prior, he can chime in.

 CALL ME TROUBLE (10)
was caught wide trying to secure position last start from the mobile and forced to retreat. Placed in both prior appearances from behind the tapes, he is a podium player again.

SELECTIONS:
INSTANT DELIGHT (1), DHONI TROUBLE (2), DARCYS FIREBALL (8), CALL ME TROUBLE (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:
INSTANT DELIGHT (1) to win

RACE THREE

Hitting the board in all four since arriving in Qld, SHANKYS SHOT (6) faces a tricky gate but finds the right opposition to capitalise. Forced to park last start as MOVE IT LOU dictated and stomped out a 53.8 closing half. The effort for 2nd was full of merit and enough to cash in here.

 BEROCCA BERNIE (8)
made the most of conditions last start when making his first appearance at The Creek. Pressing on from gate 6 to take control, he was never in danger in posting an 11m margin after a solid middle half over 2138. From the awkward gate, he will be probing.

 MAGIC MIKI (3)
has been runner-up in both outings since returning from a spell. Making late metres when clear to grab 2nd behind BEROCCA BERNIE last start, he has claims here.

 JUDAH RED (5)
kept chasing here last week to hold on for the bronze behind PASSCHENDAELE. With a similar trip, he can chase another podium finish here.

SELECTIONS: SHANKYS SHOT (6), BEROCCA BERNIE (8), MAGIC MIKI (3), JUDAH RED (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SHANKYS SHOT (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Sent out as the fav here last week at the mile, UNCLE TONY (5) faced this same gate and was forced to park when 3m from the winner HARPERVILLE. Just a half-neck from the winner the start prior when facing a similar trip from gate 7. The distance poses a question, but he should have the answers against this opposition.

 MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (2)
has placed in five of his past six starts and finds the right gate to be close enough to the action here. He did not have the cleanest passage last start at Redcliffe when holding on for the bronze and from the improved gate can issue a challenge in this.

 CAPTAIN NEMO (3)
has been freshened since his last appearance back in April when faced with a second line gate and not too far from the winner JEFFCOATE. He can feature in this line up.

 STORMTIDE (1)
should appreciate a cosy trip behind the speed after facing tough draws at Redcliffe in his past two starts. A winner three back, he can chime in late here.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE TONY (5), MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (2), CAPTAIN NEMO (3), STORMTIDE (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
UNCLE TONY (5) to win

RACE FIVE

AUNTY FRANCES (10) was sent around them in the middle stages last week from the second line to find the breeze and from there was still giving to the wire when 4m astern of the winner. Beaten by the 2138 the start prior, she can look to claim an even contest where six of this field all contested the same reference race claimed by AMILLIONCHANCES.

 GOODTIME CRACKER (4)
swept home to claim a 947 sprint at Redcliffe two starts back and then here last week found the front but was unable to see it out, grabbed in the closing stages as AMILLIONCHANCES arrived. Forcing the issue again, he can throw down the challenge.

 ROYAL WINKLE (5)
had the early hustle to take control last time out and from the front was able to fend them off in posting a 6m margin. Positioning cheaply will be the key to his chances.

 CANDYKANE (9)
will take some benefit from the last start where she was returning from a spell and eased from gate 5 to find running line position. Trialing through here can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: AUNTY FRANCES (10), GOODTIME CRACKER (4), ROYAL WINKLE (5), CANDYKANE (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Relying on some factors to go his way from this gate, LUKA DONCIC (8) follows a good beginner as he resumes from a spell for the new barn. With a tidy effort in a recent trial, he will be sweating on finding the gaps in time to make a winning impact fresh up.

 ROYAL PRINCESS (1)
burrowed through to hold the front last start over the 2138 but could not finish them off when fading out of the money. A gritty 3rd when parked the start prior, she secures the options from this gate to issue the challenge.

 MONOPOLLIE (10)
has place at his past two which have both been from second line barriers. Chasing through on the passing lane last start, he is a podium player in this line up.

 PRECOCIOUS KATE (3)
was chasing a hat-trick of victories when fading over the 947 in a Trot Rods contest. Too far back last start, settling closer here will assist her claims.

SELECTIONS: LUKA DONCIC (8), ROYAL PRINCESS (1), MONOPOLLIE (10), PRECOCIOUS KATE (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 1-3-8-10

RACE SEVEN

With his past two appearances in the short course flying 947 format at Redcliffe, LOCHINVAR CAMARO (1) secures the ideal gate to chase a first AP success. Finishing best to claim one of those sprints two starts back, he trails the right tempo here to make the closing shot a winner.

 BUDDY PERFECT (10)
has found it tough going against stronger opposition in recent starts and despite the second line should appreciate this opposition. Gate 7 was the undoing two starts back as FERNCO NEL arrived and with some good front line tempo in this, he can challenge.

 HAPPY AS CAN BE (8)
took out a qualifier last start when eased from a wide gate before owning superior speed in the latter stages to descend on them to score. He will be probing for gaps.

 SCRUFFY (6)
was chasing a hat-trick last start when pressing forward but unable to get across. Forced to park and missing the money, finding cover will assist his podium chances here.

SELECTIONS: LOCHINVAR CAMARO (1), BUDDY PERFECT (10), HAPPY AS CAN BE (8), SCRUFFY (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BUDDY PERFECT (10) win/place

RACE EIGHT

Tackling standing start contests in his past three starts, OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (9) should appreciate a return to facing the start car. Placed in two of those, he made an error last time as the tapes released which ended any chance as FINAL DEADLINE dictated. This is within reach.

 ROLL UP (1)
has had little in his favour in recent times with a barrier draw analysis showing that he has been no closer than gate 6 at his past 12 appearances. Chasing home from gate 10 last start as RAKASANDY arrived. An improved gate can be the catalyst for issuing a challenge.

 OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (6)
was making good metres to grab the silver behind subsequent winner FERNCO NEL here two starts back and then last time was not suited first over. He can bounce back here.

 FREE THINKER (7)
is afforded no favours from the car park as he returns from a spell but finds more suitable conditions from the mobile after closing his season off handicaps in standing start events.

SELECTIONS: OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (9), ROLL UP (1), OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (6), FREE THINKER (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (9) to win
