DOLCI – Shifted out abruptly and was slow as a result. Raced wide in the early stages. When questioned regarding whether there was an opportunity to improve into a run that had presented itself at the 150m between ARRARAC and MASTER DENRHO, apprentice R Wilson stated that she initially had opted to shift to the inside of MASTER DENRHO, however when that runner started to shift in marginally, she elected to alter course and attempt a run to the outside of MASTER DENRHO and to the inside of the tiring ARRARAC. She added that when she made the decision to improve into the run, both horses started to shift ground respectively and as a result she was forced to take hold of her mount momentarily and race in restricted room for several strides. She further stated that when she was able to finally improve into the run, although DOLCI put in an awkward stride, it made sufficient ground over the concluding stages and was satisfied with the effort. Stewards noted the explanation.
