Bumped on the hind quarters shortly after the start. Raced three wide without cover. When questioned regarding the horses performance, apprentice H. English stated that despite having a wide run throughout, the gelding failed to respond when placed under pressure and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart rate and a slow post-race recovery.
