Slow to muster speed. Trailed the field throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the presence of blood in one nostril. Trainer C McCann was advised that MUFASTA must gallop over 1000m in the presence of a steward prior to racing or trialling again. Trainer C McCann reported that MUFASTA would now be spelled and his immediate racing future would be considered.
