Raced wide in the early stages. When questioned jockey McGillivray stated that after being caught wide early he obtained a position outside the leader. He further stated that despite the slow tempo the gelding failed to run on when placed under pressure and disappointed. A post race veterinary examination revealed cardiac arrhythmia. Connections were advised that the gelding would be required to undergo an ECG, with results reported to stewards, as well as trialling satisfactorily and a veterinary clearance to be supplied. A swab sample was taken.
