When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance, App. W Peel advised that the gelding was making an abnormal respiratory noise throughout the event which she felt was the major contributing factor to the poor performance. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer D Reynolds expressed disappointment with the performance of the gelding and would now monitor the manner in which it recovers from today’s event before deciding whether to proceed with the gelding’s current preparation.
