Delayed the start after being fractious in the barriers, was unloaded and examined by the veterinary surgeon and was cleared to start. Finished tailed off. Rider C.Taylor advised it was not his intention to lead, however the saddle shifted forward soon after the start placing him at a disadvantage throughout the race and as such the gelding was not tested in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
