Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Below market expectation performance. Apprentice reported the gelding has a history of breathing issues and for that reason, in his opinion, the gelding overracing during the event was the major contributing factor to it failing to run on in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be making an abnormal respiratory noise. Veterinary certificate required prior to racing again.
