Jockey S Galloway reported that as a result of being caught wide in the early stages, he allowed his mount to stride forward to obtain a position on the rail near the 1600m and as a result settled further forward than he had anticipated. He added that the mare then raced keenly for a short distance however then travelled comfortably however from the 500m failed to quicken as he had expected which he attributed to the mare jarring up on the firm racing surface. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
