Lunged forward in the barriers, was removed, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Rider momentarily lost the use of his nearside rein at the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the filly had some blood in one nostril and blood in its mouth with a loose tooth, which in the opinion of the veterinary surgeon may have been the result of head trauma due to the incident in the barriers prior to the start.

Commenced to overrace when in a trailing position passing the 1000m, threw its head in the air on a number of occasions and proved difficult to ride. Rider questioned regarding performance.
