Raced keenly in the early stages.Making the crossing near the 1200m bumped with NEW WORLD TAPESTRY when racing tightly. Bumped again with NEW WORLD TAPESTRY near the 900m. Raced wide until obtaining cover near the 1200m. When asked to comment on tactics adopted in the early stages of the event, particularly if there was an opportunity to progress forward and obtain a forward position, apprentice D Bennett, in the presence of senior rider J Huxtable, explained instructions were to position the horse in a forward position out of the barriers, however after being caught wide he elected to not to

Crowded between runners at the start and became unbalanced. Making the crossing near the 1200m bumped with JOYBELLDS when racing tightly. Bumped again with JOYBELLS near the 900m. Raced wide for the majority of the event. When asked to comment on tactics adopted, particularly after racing wide for the majority of the event, apprentice S Champkin explained instructions were to lead, however the horse was unable to muster sufficient speed to cross runners to the inside in the early stages, adding she was then unable to restrain NEW WORLD TAPESTRY due to the horse travelling strongly at that sta
