Slow to begin. Jockey M. Cahill reported it had been his intention to lead however after being slow to begin he was obliged to attempt to take a position behind the lead. He added that at no stage did the horse, in his opinion, travel comfortably and was inclined to lay out, which has been a trait of the filly in the past. Trainer Mr M. Mair indicated consideration would be given to sending the filly for a spell. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
