Jockey L. Tarrant reported that the horse felt short in its near fore action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer S. Kendrick was be advised that the horse would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start. Trainer S. Kendrick advised stewards that in light of today’s performance, the horse will now be sent for a spell.

Change of tactics. Connections advised they were not happy with the gelding’s finishing efforts and therefore the horse would be ridden in the second half of the field if circumstances permit in order to have it settle. The horse was ridden accordingly. Stood flatfooted as the start was effected and lost significant ground. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the horse.
