Raced wide. Trainer N Hocking was questioned regarding a perceived form improvement. Mr Hocking stated that recently he had been stepping the mare up in distance which in hindsight had been to its detriment, and following those performances he then elected to freshen the mare and drop back to today’s distance of 1000m and add blinkers for the first time. Mr Hocking further added that in his opinion Regal Eyes has performed best at the Sunshine Coast. Stewards noted his comments.
