Steward Comment

Jumped away awkwardly. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, Apprentice Rabjones stated that REDWANA began only fairly but was able to settle into a comfortable position. She added when asked for an effort on entering the straight, failed to respond to her riding and weakened noticeably. A post race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the near fore leg and an elevated heart rate. Trainers representative reported that REDWANA would be spelled. A post race sample was taken.
