raced fiercely in the lead through the early and middle stages, getting its head in the air on several occasions when rider Ashley Butler attempted to settle the gelding; gave ground from the 250 metres. When questioned rider Butler stated that BAREMA’s propensity to race fiercely had proved significantly detrimental today. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
