Buffeted between runners and was eased when commencing to weaken near the 150m. Jockey B Loy reported that the gelding put in a few awkwardly strides in the early stages and from this point travelled only fairly for the remainder. Jockey Loy added that when placed under pressure the gelding failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing.
