Raced wide over the early stages. Stewards questioned rider A Sewell regarding the tactics he adopted when leading from the 1100m. Mr Sewell advised he was not issued with any specific instructions pre-race from trainer A Jones. He advised that after being caught three wide over the early stages he elected to press forward rather than be caught wide. He further advised as there was no genuine pace his mount found the lead without pressuring it.
