When questioned regarding the filly leading in today’s event rider R Wiggins advised he had not intended to lead, however after beginning well from a favourable draw he received an easy lead, there was no early pace and after no other runners progressed forward he maintained the lead. Mr Wiggins was also aware there was little speed in the race on form. Trainer R Vale confirmed it was not the intention to lead as it was his preference for the filly to take a trail in suitable circumstances.
