Passing the 1400m shifted three wide in an attempt to improve its position. Passing the 1200m was able to cross and lead. When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted in todays event, Jockey N Fazackerley reported that he was mindful that the gelding lacked a finishing sprint and as the pace of today’s race was slow in the early stages, he elected to improve his position in the middle stages. He added that once he was able to cross and lead passing the 1200m, his mount weakened noticeably and ran to the line in a disappointing manner. Trainer J Bellamy reported that he would report back.
