Trainer B Gorman was fined $200 for the late declaration of rider on the mare. On arrival at the barriers the saddle was adjusted. Began awkwardly. After the saddle shifted significantly back SIP IT SLOW commenced to buck passing the 900m and then took no competitive part in the event from that point. Stewards inspected the gear of G Cartwright following the event and found it to be of a satisfactory standard. Stewards interviewed trainer B Gorman who indicated that the mare is quite lightly framed and he would be advising riders to apply a gel pad in future starts.
