Slow to begin. Jockey D. Thornton, when asked to comment on the filly’s overall performance and the tactics adopted, he stated that he had been instructed to travel in the second half of the field, and therefore did not ride vigorously from the barriers. He indicated that he asked the filly to improve from the 700m and she raced somewhat greenly in the middle stages. When rounding the home turn, whilst still attempting to improve, he had difficulty securing clear running and was obliged to alter course near the 200m in order to secure clear running. Over raced from the 600m and whilst being restrained hung out rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer K. Fogden advised Stewards that she would be considering the gelding’s immediate racing future. Ms Fogden was advised that NAZORIAN would be required to barrier trial prior to racing again.
