Rider stated that, in his opinion, the colt was not suited by the firmer track conditions, as it had performed better in softer going in its recent trials. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be lame in the near-foreleg. Trainer was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to racing again.
